Balquhidder Church Ruins

Reviewed By english_f - Manchester, United Kingdom

We loved exploring this graveyard and seeing Rob Roy's grave. Free parking, there was a donation box to help with the costs of looking after the church. Strolling around the grounds we saw a path that led into the woods so we decided to follow it and after a minute or so we came to a lovely waterfall with a bridge over the river. Nice way to spend an hour if you're interested in history.

Luss Parish Church

Lovely old church built by Edward Colquhoun in the late 1800's! It has an old Viking Hogback Stone and some very interesting gravestones to look at in the grounds. We were sorry it wasn't open to have a look inside!

Callander Kirk

Callendar is a lovely area to explore. Nice shops and lovely views. The church is beautiful and in the centre of the town. There is also a nice walk along the river Teith by the car park. When we visited the river had burst its banks so please be careful.
