Central Promenade Blackpool

Reviewed By holidaymanWashington - Washington, United Kingdom

The Promenade has always been good and I have walked up and down it many times over the years. Credit to Blackpool Council, who have spent heavily to renew and reinforce the whole of it, in recent times, to keep at bay the ravages of the Irish sea. Aside from the Piers, which have always been a feature of the town, the central promenade now has many features to keep the crowds entertained. It is of course, the best way to see the illuminations and to take them all in, if you still have the energy, after a hard day's fun seeking. It is wide and flat, so is ideal for prams and wheelchairs and not to forget the plethora of dog walkers. It is literally a stone's throw, from most of the sea front hotels and guest houses and the majority of the major attractions.

This little park is well cared for and accessible to everyone. The sculptures and other features make it an interesting place for children to explore.
