Just a short drive from the heart of Nairobi, Kiambethu Farm at Limuru provides a tranquil insight into life on a settler farm. Situated at 7,200 ft., Kiambethu was bought and farmed by AB McDonell in 1910. He was the first person to grow, make and sell tea commercially in Kenya – now one of Kenya’s biggest exports. Five generations have lived on the farm and it is currently run by his granddaughter Fiona Vernon. The farm house is set within beautiful gardens surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest – home to the Colobus monkey and plenty of other wildlife.

It was a though but fantastic tour to mount longonot. We walked about 3 hours to see the crater, some animals and the beautiful nature. After that we spent some relaxing time at the boat trip at lake naivasha, and see some hippo's, birds and zebra's. Driver Sammy and guide Peter were 2 excellent and professional persons who make you're day more better. They're also very helpful, respectful and friendly. I recomment this tour to everyone who loves the nature!

Having planned the safari trip to Kenya, we approached many agencies and I have to admit that from time to time we got little bit frustrated as the communication was not exactly smooth or the companies werent able to offer us what we wanted. Having special requirements as seeing more parcs in less time seemed to be unreal for them or they put an absurd price tag on it. And then, we came across LiReise tour company and all the struggles went away as Lilian, the manager, was so great and helpful. The communication was super easy, Lilian seemed to work 24/7 as she replied quicky and also late in the evenings/during weekends. Lilian also managed to offer us exactly what we wanted - 2 days safari to Tsavo East and West for a very favorable price. We paid everything online through PayPal in advance so it was also well-handled. And still the best part of this experience was yet to come. Nelson, the guide/driver, and Elly, the national coordinator, picked us up exactly on time in Mombasa and our best moments in Kenya started. They were great people to have around once you go on safari - super careful about your needs, very knowledgable and incredibly fun. Plus, the most important thing - Nelson did not hesitate to take the bumpier roads or more time to make sure that you see as many animals as possible. I am sure it was not my last time in Kenya and even more sure is that I would want to enjoy the services of LiReise tour again as I could not be more satisfied and I would recommend them to everybody because they were simply perfect. I dont have even one thing I would complain about. Many thanks again for everything, keep doing the great job!

Incredible experience! Saw 4/5 the big five on this epic journey. The drive from Nairobi was long, but the driver made it fun with playing local music. The camp we stayed at was great, food was good, tents were clean, and we had hot water/shower/sink/toilet. The safari was incredible, and our driver made sure we saw as much as we could. We watched the sunset in the park during the sunset drive and the sunrise the next morning during the sunrise drive. We also visited the Masai Mara village which was such an interesting experience. 100% recommend the safari and village tour with day2daysafaris. Also, if you're wondering about traveling during the pandemic, everything was safe and recommend traveling now as there are very few tourists.

This was my first visit to Nairobi and when I asked about the places I should visit, people definitely recommended the Giraffe Center, Karen Blixen’s house and of course the Elephant Orphanage. Erick picked me up at the hotel and took me to the Giraffe Center where I had such a great time feeding the giraffes and taking lots of pictures with these extraordinary animals. Then we went to Karen Blixen’s house where another great tour guide (Peter) took me around and graciously explained all about the place! Unfortunately I was not able to see the elephants since the orphanage was closed due to Covid. All in all, it was a great day in Nairobi.

People should know that the elephant orphanage has been closed for a year. This fact isn't mentionned on the advertisement. You also have to pay extra if you want to be dropped of at the airport. In the end, you pay 50 USD for a ride to the museum and the Giraffe Center. The company should clearly inform clients that the elephant orphanage is closed and adapt the price of the trip, or think about another activity to offer to clients.
