Things to do in Hong Kong, China: The Best Spas & Wellness

July 15, 2021 Renato Branum

Delectable dim sum, floating islands, and a one-of-a-kind skyline are just some of Hong Kong’s unique features. Get an eyeful of traditional Chinese architecture in Ngong Ping village, then take the tram to the tippity-top of Victoria Peak for unparalleled views. The rocks and gentle hills of Nan Lian Garden will bring you inner peace, as will a calming cup of tea in a Stanley café. Become one with everything at the Chi Lin Nunnery, a serene Buddhist complex.

I was treating myself to the peninsula "Spa birthday pamper" package. It was a 75-minutes Aromatherapy massage with your choice of the Essential oils. Once stepped into the spa, I was warmly welcomed by the frontdesk staff. After filling up a form of personal info and spa preference, I was guided to the pool area for a swimming section by a friendly staff Chloe before spa treatment. It was a lovely indoor pool with a spectacular view. And iced fruit water was handy to grab, which was truly refreshing treat after the swimming workout. Spa facilities, including the jacuzzi, relaxation areas and the asian tea lounge were available for use too. My spa section was beyond perfect. My therapist Ms Cecilia was so professional, she helped to melt away the every tension and leave me the most rejuvenating feeling. It was a spa experience worth your every penny. Highly recommend for a self-indulgent time.

Tai Pan Reflexology Parlour

Relax and rejuvenate in the heart of the bustling city of Hong Kong. Kickback and relax with our expert therapist tailored to your needs in our oriental environment that takes you back in time to 1940's China.

Reviewed By third_day_adventures - Seattle, United States

After several hours of walking around Hong Kong and Kowloon, we were looking for a break and Tai Pan Reflexology Parlor fit the bill perfectly! Tai Pan feels like a throwback to the mystery and elegance of Colonial Hong Kong ... as you enter you cross a glass floor with fish swimming underneath ... there are tile floors, old school chairs and fixtures, Chinese vases and bric a brac, and red lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Sure it's a tad for show, but we felt that it was part of what made the experience fun. The place is dark and cool - a welcome respite from the heat and humidity outside. We were treated right away and received careful, attentive service throughout the experience culminating with a delicious and invigorating cup of tea in a separate parlor at the end. This was one of those random unplanned experiences that ended up being one of the very pleasant surprises from our Hong Kong visit and we still talk about how much we enjoyed it.
