Our family had a lovely half-day tour of Hong Kong Island with our energetic guide, Vida. She knows a lot and has shared interesting facts, history about Hong Kong and what we are up to that day. From Man Mo Temple, Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, and Aberdeen fishing village we had a nice scenic trip. Vida has been a good helpful guide on what to try and how to get around HK. She recommended and dropped us off to Mongkok where we can have a taste of local HK food. Thank you Vida!

We booked the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tour. Our wonderful guide Stephanie took us through Sheung Wan and especially at the start and finish of the tour she explained the principles behind TCM with many examples and took us to the locations to see and experience TCM for ourselves. Throughout the 3-hour tour Stephanie shared her expertise of the history of Hong Kong in general and the events that happened in this neighbourhood specifically. The whole experience from first contact, info provided upfront and the tour itself was excellent and very flexible. Thanks Stephanie!

In this tour, our founders Mandy or Apple will take you to the New Territories, where they were born and raised. Most visitors usually only focus on the Hong Kong Island and Kowloon side, and do not really have time to explore the biggest and most populated part of Hong Kong. In this tour, we will be visiting a small fishing village in Tai Po, a optional scenic boat ride to visit a local floating fish-farm in Plover Cove as well as the remote islands in the area (a UNESCO Global GeoPark). We can also enjoy a nice dim sum lunch by the beautiful waterfront. After (or before lunch), we can also visit a big local wet market and a public housing estate. Hong Kong has the most unaffordable housing in the world and we will have the chance to visit a family home and experience the life of the grassroot background.

Inclusions: Octopus Card for public transportation, Snacks

Exclusions: Lunch, Boat ride by local fisherman, Gratuities , Private Car (instead of Octopus Card) can be arranged at extra cost

I love the Big Bus Company - my 'go to' place when I am in a strange city to get a feel for the place. We booked a 48 hour ticket which we got for a 50% seasonal reduction (watch out for promotions, they are worth having). There are three routes, there is one which takes you out to Stanley, Aberdeen Harbour, Repulse Bay, another one through the Financial District and another route through Kowloon.. There are a lot of stops to hop off to go for a walk. If you get off at Aberdeen Harbour, watch out for their sampan to take you round the harbour. We also had a free ticket to Sky 100, the tallest building in Hongkong. There were lots of freebies included, you are spoilt for choice: Sky 100 (you would pay app HK $ 180 for the ticket), two return tickets on the star ferry, reduced coffee in Starbucks near the Star Ferry, reduced entrance fees. It's a great way to experience HK at your own pace.

Corona virus meant that the cable car wasn't running and we had to travel by car instead of the ferry to the island. However, the big Buddha and the fishing village were definitely worth seeing and the vegetarian lunch at the monastery was very tasty. Ken, our guide, was excellent as well. Worth doing.
