Things to do in Frankfurt, Hesse: The Best Cultural Tours

November 8, 2021 Agatha Simes

There’s plenty to see and do in this 2,000-year-old German city. The gothic Saint Bartholomeus Cathedral is a perseverant structure, having been destroyed and rebuilt twice since its 14th century construction. Catch a screening at the German Film Museum, stroll the exhibit halls of one of Frankfurt’s many galleries, or climb to the top of the Main Tower for sweeping 360-degree views of the city.

Martin Luther is NOT the same historical figure as MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr. Germany is not the same nation as the US. Martin Luther was the great GERMAN reformer of the 1500s. Martin Luther King Jr. was the great civil rights American reformer of the 1960s. I keep trying to help this organization, but they don't seem to worry about trivia like historical facts.

I booked this tour and received Confirmation. A few hours later my tour was Cancelled. No reason was provided. By the time I received notice of the Cancelation, there was no time to book something else to fill the hole in my schedule this created. If they had a problem and could not provide th tour, why accept and confirm my reservation, and then cancel later the same day? Very unprofessional.

I was disappointed that despite booing this Tour, I received last minute notice that it had been cancelled due to rain. They did not mention this possibility when I booked it. If they had I would have checked the weather before, and booked something else. As it happened, this left a hole in my schedule that I could not5 fill at the last minute.

This city tour was very interesting and fascinating. I liked to hear all the knowledge and information our tour-guide Viviana could provide us with. She did this in a very good way, so we didn't felt to be in school, but together with a very good friend who knew a great deal about everything we saw around us. In this way also a very good start for our 2 weeks in Palermo to know, where we would like to explore more o go back to. Thank you very much Viviana, that was just marvellous! François + Esteban
