Cromer Pier, a heritage seaside pier in the civil parish of Cromer on the North Norfolk coast was designed by Douglass and Arnott and constructed by Alfred Thorne and is owned by North Norfolk District Council. The Pier is 151 metres (495 ft.) in length and was officially opened on 8 June 1901. Awarded Pier Of The Year in 2015 by The National Piers Society. The Pavilion Theatre at the end of the pier is one of only five UK end of pier theatres and is home to The Cromer Pier Show, the only end of pier show of its kind in the world. We are famous for crab fishing with the very best spot in Norfolk for the big catch, it’s a great way to relax and connect with nature for all the family. We’re regulars to Cromer End of the Pier Show and it really is the highlight of our year both summer and Christmas. Proper family entertainment and a variety show with a great mix of comedy, magic, dance and singing from a very talented cast. Meeting the cast afterwards in the foyer is also a lovely touch.

Had an amazing day here today despite being really busy, parked in the park and ride at the top of the hill £5 all day and free bus down to Padstow - well worth it as the town car park is always full! Had fun crabbing on the harbour, had lovely fish and chips from Chips Ahoy and also went on the ferry over to Rock for the first time today (return tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for children ) - spent a couple of hours exploring the area and enjoying the views!

If one picture on a postcard could sum up an idyllic English Seaside destination it would have to be Southwold Pier. Decked out across the sea in the picturesque coastal town of Southwold, this pillared walkway has a magnetic attraction and something for everyone to enjoy! This pier is great. From the 80's retro games to the nice tea rooms and more importantly, the exhibit with wacky slot machines. Hope it never changes.

I have known this area many years, since childhood and seen lots of changes. It has now become a really tourist trap with little huts of craft work on display and for sale, food, the fish market is the best and service and the Crab and Winkle cafe excellent. New development of shops and food hall being built and it goes on with attraction. Really worth a visit day and night.

Totally fallen in love with Fleetwood it's so clean everywhere, the Council do a good job, it's a lovely walk along the beach and prom with lots of original Victorian touches around the area.. A beautiful inland lighthouse located in front of the the original grand Euston hotel which in its heyday must have been an imposing landmark on the front.. Not a lot for kids other than a lovely beach and play area but it's a great place with lots of little cafes and snackeries

Went for the weekend, our forth/fifth visit and will come back next year for a week. If you like walking and the outdoors there is plenty to. You don't have to go up the hills. A nice gentle walk is from Waterside, get the walkers ferry ticket and go over to Bray Castle, a 4 mile walk will take you to Ferry House. A small Ferry will then take you to Bowness. When finished, get the ferry back to Ambleside. Nice day out. If you book the ferry online, you save £1.20 per adult ticket. Just remember to pick up your ticket before boarding

If you are passing through or staying at beautiful Saltburn, pause for a moment and take in the beauty of a stroll along the pier whilst watching those brave surfers catch a wave or two! Look out for the mark of the knitters who are celebrating the Pier’s 150th Birthday and look up towards the cliff cab which will take you onwards and upwards if your legs can’t carry you back up the hill into town. .... Gorgeous sunsets this week, and wonderful friendly folk! Very impressed with the town promoting everyone to talk two minutes of their day and pick up any plastic from the beach... & people were taking time out to support x
