11 of us went and had a great time. It was a chance to experience all 4 seasons so dress warm for the top, and have ponchos for the rain and the ability to strip off layers when the sun comes out. Gorgeous scenary and all you have to do is brake, it's all gravity fed, very little to no pedaling. I showed my master tourist skills by bringing a padded bike seat and instantly became the envy of all the women! The seats were hard and hey, the bikes are barely holding it together too. It didn't matter, it was worth it and the guides were very kind and informative. Kind of scary to be in the road on hairpin turns with some bus traffic, but I'd do it all again.

Around 30 km in the South of Cusco you will find the city Tipon, which was a very important religious center for the ancient Incas and is equipped with a great irrigation system! I highly recommend this trip with Giardino Tours / Green Peru if you want to see Colca Canyon and end up in Puno from Arequipa! It’s an easy tour in a mini bus with accommodating and thoughtful guides (Gerber and Woller) who have your best interest and comfort in mind. They take you to all the best view points of the canyon and will make sure you see condors! Definitely worth the time and money. I also recommend upgrading your hotel to Colca Lodge - great private hot springs and wonderful location. This tour is a really great way to see a wonder of Peru! Thanks, Gerber and Woller for making it delightful.

The hike was tiring but rewarding. Beautiful views. Took us about 3 hours roundtrip. Wear many layers. Our guide was friendly, not great English. The breakfast and lunch were okay, at the same restaurant. No toilet paper in the restroom. The roads were bumpy and the ride was uncomfortable. Our van broke down on the way back and we had to hop on another group’s van. They dropped us off at the town center rather than our hotel, so we had to walk back 12 min.

My son was travelling for 4 months in South America and when he asked if I'd like to accompany him to trek and see Machu Pichu I jumped at the chance. The trek was superbly agonised and the food was amazing! I wouldn't say it was easy for a 54 year old but my son and the group and guide we were with kept me going. Worth every day of waking up at 4:45am with a cup of cocoa tea delivered to you! Our guide, Felix, was so knowledgeable about all the history, land and culture so we were well educated along every step of the way. We had the add-ons, with the poles, sleeping bags and the extra day hike to Rainbow Mountain. Totally recommend it to anyone that wants to do it in style and enjoy it!

Following a posting to work in Peru, I decided to bring my family over here to experience the lifestyle and culture. I decided to take my annual vacation whilst here and wanted to travel parts of Peru, after being told about this company I made contact with Patricia (the owner). What a pleasure it was dealing with Patricia, she asked what we wanted to see, durations type of things we like and built an adventure across various parts of Peru for us. All aspects of the trip were catered for, from all of our pickups, hotels, excursions etc, which helped us as our Spanish is very limited. Patricia checked up on us most days, to make sure everything was going ok, that we had enjoyed what had been booked etc, it gave it such a personal touch, to know that someone was helping / watching / travelling with us through this massive country if something went wrong and that we had not just been left alone like many big tour operators would have. If your planning a trip to various parts of Peru, then I would definitely advise contacting her before the massive tour operators, the service is personal, reflects what you want, exclusively tailored made to suit both what you want and your budgets. #welovepataperutravel
