If in Kingscourt then a visit to Gartlans pub is a must. We got a very warm welcome and the interior is a throw back from years gone by. Traditional music every Sunday 6-930. And the pints of Guinness are top quality.

It’s at least 12 years since I last visited this establishment and I must say nothing in the standard of food has changed, on Thursday night last my partner and I visited here for dinner, we started with Garlic bread one plate between us absolutely beautiful two slices each, Followed by two minute stakes which were beautiful chips and onions pepper sauce and garlic sauce amazing to say the least. If that’s a minute steak I dread to think the seize of the full sirloin. The evening meal was beautiful and the staff amazing especially a lovely pleasant young lady very well done Anglers Rest, I will make sure it not as long before my next visit.
