En medio del verde de prados y bosques con muchísimas setas, este sitio donde nos alojamos 3 noches, nos permitió descubrir todo el este de la isla, en un entorno de tranquilidad i relax absoluto. Cascadas espectaculares, fiordos inóspitos donde llegar ya es una experiencia de aventura i soledad en pleno agosto, son algunos de los encantos del lugar. La mujer que se encarga de la casa és amabilísima y el sitio precioso. De las mejores zonas de Islandia, menos concurridas, y de lo más recomendable.

Comfortable yet basic
Reviewed By Jasmine HCharming out-of-the-way farm a good half-hour from Höfn. The house itself has all the required equipment but lacks in accessible commodities. The nearest (small) town is Höfn, 40km away. The breakfast was quite minimal with bread and a couple of spreading, the doors weren't keeping any noise out and the number of bathroom can feel a little underestimated when the house is full.

Reviewed By micguWe were a little concerned when we drove up to the guesthouse. There is litterally nothing else there. But the owner was very nice and the homecooked soup was excellent! They even have a bar there. There are two toilets, one with a shower that is shared with the guests in the house.

Reviewed By ToonVAThe off road guesthouse is runned by very friendly people and good for a sleep to travel further. The rooms are clean beside the dirty windows but look very dated. The number on the doors are in laminated plastic and for me shows the (non) effort to 2022 quality and standards. All the same old identical lamps, printed paintings, corroded handles, a very bendy matrass... But if you fancy the interior of your grandparents, you will not be let down. There is not a lot to eat nearby and we took the chance for the buffet late dinner. For 6200 Krn my hope for a good quality dinner was high. It was lamb and fish. Bad enough the quality was really low. The meat was nog good, not bad in comparisation to home cook students as myself. The fresh broccoli salade was the best but it was only a small cup for everyone and did not get refreshed. The lasagne was clearly warmed out of the freezer and full of water. To end on positive note, the creme brulee, not with fresh vanilla, was tasty. For 6000 krn in Iceland you get almost everywere a sex on the plate dinner with fresh materials. I hope the restaurant will invest in this kind of kitchen. Quality over quantity. This place is close to a nice canyon They offer some activities. They are very helpfull. For me this time will be the only time at this place

Lovely food in a great environment!
Reviewed By mollem2016We ate the lambshank and the char. The food was very good but the portions were quit small so one in our group didn’t get full and sdked for some extra bread. It was cool to se the cows eating in the barn during our meel and the outdoor surroundings were so beautiful.

Gorgeous sunrises AND auroras
Reviewed By nicholassR7700BHAmazing guesthouse on a remote Icelandic horse farm!!! My friend and I drove too far away from Reykjavik and didn't want to go all the way back that night. So we found this trippy place online, booked the night, and found that it was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. Easy check-in with a very friendly host. There's a cute hotel-restaurant about 5 minutes away by car. The sunrise was gorgeous, not to mention the auroras!!! You can either watch the auroras from the farm, or drive just a few minutes down the road to get into a darker turnoff. Either way, we had a wonderful time!

Margret was very helpful and provided us with a beautiful breakfast.. I loved having picked herring and smoked trout for options. Our room and bed was very comfortable and cozy. I highly recommended this picture-perfect farm stay.

Brekkukot is situated in a beautiful countryside in Skagafjordur, North West Iceland, where the birds sing and sheep and cows are grazing in nearby fields. Beautiful farmland is around and prospective visitors can enjoy observing traditional farming, sitting on the terrace of the house. Brekkukot is full of all the equipment and the facilities needed to experience and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house has been fully renovated inside and out. Brekkukot is my home and I rent it out in its entirety and also a single room. Ideal place for families or group of friends who wants to stay away from other travellers. Hot tub in the garden and cozy to sit there and see beautiful views and the northern lights. Dinner can be ordered with reservation as I cook for you authentic home cooking.

La casa nel nulla in Islanda
Reviewed By MasterOfMobilesÈ la classica casa sperduta nel nulla islandese e passarci una notte è stato piacevole. La casa è grande, su due piani, ci sono diverse camere e un ampio soggiorno con cucina separata in cui abbiamo fatto una cena di gruppo senza alcun problema. Fuori c'è un cancello che porta al giardino che circonda la casa anche se, considerando l'ambiente circostante, potrebbe essere anche superfluo.
