It lies on the banks of the River Dane, 21 miles (34 km) south of Manchester and to the west of the Macclesfield Canal. At the 2011 Census, the parish had a population of 26,482.

Been here a couple of times now and there’s a drink for every pallet,put this together with excellent company and atmosphere plus not to expensive and it’s a great night out for the real ale lover.Other pubs can learn from this.
