Mamasavana

The african word Safari in Kiswahili language means "travel" or tour: Not only physical tour, but also a spiritual. For Mamasavana this is not a simply african tour towards the incontaminated nature, but a tour inside yourself, where the contact with the land of the great Mama Africa takes you back to your origins. Mamasavana wants to lead by hand whoever wants to embark on this experience in savanna, the real heart of Africa, with Kenya or Tanzania safari. We would like to narrate you more, but we know very well that certain emotions can not narrated, but only by living. Neither do we want to make you depart right away: the desire is probably already inside you. Safari Njema !!!

Spent 4 nights and 5 days with Mama Savana in African Safari. Visited Tarangire, Central and Northern Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater. All are unique with their nature and wild life. It was my best African safari ever. We saw all big fives and one African Civet in the day time very close to our car. Our driver cum guide Joseph is young and energetic. He has in depth knowledge about wildlife, birds and nature. We enjoyed every moment of it. Mama savana is a very professional company leaded by Alex. Thanks Mama Savana to make the safari memorable.

Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park and Reserve

The park with its magnificent coral reefs and colourful marine life, 6 km off the Kenyan coast, is managed by the Kenya Wildlife Service. Many private companies offer day trips by dhow for dolphin-spotting, snorkeling and diving. Some guests choose to remain in the boat or paddle off the sandbar at low tide. Most tours offer lunch on Wasini Island. Accommodation is available. Nature at its best!

I would 100% recommend visiting wasini while in diani. I would recommend taking the boat trip especially if you like adventure, at first the waves scare you but once you start spotting the dolphins you forget about it. Try snorkeling as well in the clear blue ocean,so breathtaking. Loved the food served at wasini plus the people are so friendly. However, I didn't like the chicken, didn't feel fresh. Get to know the history of shimoni as well while at kisite mpunguti. This was my first solo trip and it was beyond amazing,I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Shimba Hills National Reserve

Reviewed By nicktH1952WX - Swansea, United Kingdom

Amazing time, I booked a tour with Diani safaris kanya ways, they made the trip total worth it, problem with Shimba hills is you can miss all the animals for it very wooden area and the animals can be sleeping, most tours do morning trips more chance seeing animals, but I did not wake up until 7am, sent Diani safaris a WhatsApp massage and they sorted out a midday start for me, so I do the walk to waterfall at 2pm instead 10am like you do most trips.... It be better to go in morning... But booked last minute... My driver loves animals and was super happy to talk and help, we ended up spending longer than a trip normal takes hunting to find elephants, we could see the tracks and poo, so knew they close. Drove around a block trees we thought they were in twice and was award a amazing elephant standing in the road infront off us. He ran in to the trees, what a experience to see..... You will see loads elephants in tsavo, but total special to see them like magic walk in to the trees.... it is like magic the trees move out the way and then back to cover them over..... If I or you were to go into the undergrowth like them we leave a human size hole they leave it as it was. Water fall was amazing aswell. ???? The driver made trip amazing if you go I book with dianisafaris.com Could be a rubbish few hours if your driver just wants to get home for dinner. Lots luck on this trip sadly (worth the gamble in my opinion) one the few places you can walk for a bit instead just staying in car, (ranger with gun comes with you so your safe) sadly on walk to waterfall we only seen dik-dik which was amazing to be that near on foot, but anything can happen. That a elephant in the trees by way???? phone camera rubbish. If you only got few days to see animals go tsavo, however if you got time total worth a visit.
