We visited Dornes from Tomar about a 30 minute drive away. If you’re in the area don’t miss it. It’s a surprisingly lovely place. Just outside of the village we pulled the car over at a viewpoint along the river. See photos. So peaceful & beautiful. The village itself was very quiet due to COVID 19 but nice to explore. The church at the highest point in town was closed. Church bells ring out often in Portugal including here.
