February 14, 2022 Marissa Gamble

From flat-topped Table Mountain down to the blue waters of Table Bay, Cape Town is simply stunning, but the city doesn't thrive by its looks alone. Proudly multicultural, its flourishing arts, dining, and nightlife scenes are proof of this modern metropolis' creativity and innovative spirit.

Blue Mountain Trail

The Blue Mountain Trail is a three day slackpacking, guided hike around the Kogelberg, on the south side of the picturesque Elgin Valley.

Reviewed By jackiej148 - Greater Johannesburg, South Africa

Our group of nine girls walked the Blue Mountain Trail in March 2021. Walking through some of the most beautiful fynbos, at times either waist or even shoulder-high, I have ever seen, with breath-taking mountain peak, sea and valley views, having delicious home-made meals and tasting lovely wines is the most enjoyable break from the business of so many of our day to day lives. We met truly charming salt-of-the-earth people in the form of guides, wine makers, wine tasting facilitators, cooks and drivers. Reminds one of how much there is to love about our beautiful country and SA's stunning people. Wildekrans guesthouse is a lovely set-up to stay in, especially if your group is large enough to fill it. All round, highly recommended and I can't wait to book our next wine walk.

First of all, big shout out to Vincent who was very patient with our youngest and took him from crying to being super proud and completing the blue run. He was there for them the whole two hours. The kids had a blast and as an adult, I will definitely do it next time. Really great activity in Cape Town.
