Montreal beckons travelers with its French charm and booming cultural landscape. In Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is a vision of Frank Gehry architecture and national artistic treasures. The Northern Rockies Museum is Hinton's newest attraction featuring interactive child friendly activities, hands on learning opportunities plus more all located inside Hinton's original 1911 train station.

The museum curator was a pure delight as she brought to life a range of thoroughly researched stories about pioneers past and present and the town's development. It was clear she cared deeply about telling the stories with honesty and empathy for the local community. As a result, we came away from this visit full of information and enthusiasm for Hinton, it's past and it's future. We look forward to following her progress with future museum developments and would readily return in future to see them for ourselves.

We had no idea what to expect but glad we drove up the hill. The ‘Train Controller’ was very informative and his passion for trains a joy to watch. The show was fun to watch and full of humour, what an amazing train set...a 40 year love in the making.

We had an amazing tour and hands on experience at Dino Lab. The tour guide was fantastic. Our grandson could not believe that he was allowed to touch so many dinosaur bones, hold a meteorite, see glow in the dark rocks, and sit at a lab bench and work with a real dinosaur bone!!!

Great selection of exhibits. Easy to spend an entire day here with something for kids of all ages (parents will enjoy it too!) the planetarium is fantastic, presenter was great and a few different shows played throughout the day which was nice. The space exhibit is small but really well done with lots of interactive stations catering to all ages. The moon show is short and sweet but very entertaining and informative. Discovery land is obviously a hit with toddlers and the science garage is another hands-on gem. The dinosaur exhibit was top notch however it was disappointing you were forced to walk through the gift shop to get to and from it. The restaurant has great food selection and the entire building was clean. We’re happy we visited on a weekday in September I can imagine it gets pretty busy during peak times and it was more enjoyable to have many exhibits to ourselves. Thanks for having us. We’ll be making the trip back!

Miniature World has been a mainstay attraction for many years. Located in the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Miniature World will delight young and old alike. There are several themed areas. My favorites were the Fields of Glory, and The Circus. I also liked the recreations of Canada's cities back in the turn of the century, complete with light effects turning day into night. The friendly staff have taken all necessary precautions for COVID 19. Plan on a good hour or more to take it all in. Make Miniature World a stop on your next visit to Victoria.

Canadian Children's Museum

Located within the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Canadian Museum of Civilization) Hands on adventure! The Canadian Children's Museum is one of the most popular attractions at the Canadian Museum of History, and has been since it opened its doors in 1989. Passports in hand, visitors discover one incredible destination after another. Whether on a visit to homes in the International Village, a trek to a desert pyramid, a jaunt to the Port of Entry to help unload a cargo ship, or a stroll through the bustling Market Bazaar, visitors encounter endless ways to learn about the world and one another. A world of discovery where parents have as much fun as their kids!

I love this museum! My kids adore it as well!! There are a dozen little "kingdoms" you can visit, each one gives you a stamp for your passport! Ha ha It can get busy, and staff supervision is limited to the crane on the boat. The wifi is weak and drops often! Pokeone stops are all over! Make sure your phone is fully charged before you go!

Okanagan Heritage Museum

Discover the natural and human history of Kelowna. Museums are living places, and that’s true of Kelowna’s flagship museum, the Okanagan Heritage Museum too. In fact, the entire permanent gallery has been reimagined! In spring 2019, we wrapped up a multi-year process that saw us overhaul our entire permanent gallery. Pay us a visit and enjoy our ‘new’ museum. Experience fascinating displays and learn how the Okanagan valley was formed, and why it supports tremendous biodiversity. Step into the world of the syilx/Okanagan people, and gain insights into their close connection to the land. Learn about the arrival of traders and settlers, and peer into the windows of an original “Chinatown” shop. Meet some individuals from Kelowna’s past and present, and be inspired by the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame. This museum is also home to two important facilities: the Kelowna Public Archives and the Ursula Surtees Regional Conservation Laboratory.
