World class skiing, decadent European style cuisine, ornamental cathedrals, peaceful island life…Canada is a patchwork of thriving cities and majestic wilderness. Montreal beckons travelers with its French charm and booming cultural landscape. In Toronto, the Art Gallery of Ontario is a vision of Frank Gehry architecture and national artistic treasures. The gleaming mountain ranges of Banff set a stunning backdrop for an exploration of the Canadian Rockies.

We ended a fantastic cruise to Alaska, got through customs with ease and walked 2 blocks to the hotel. Friendly staff, very helpful with our questions about restaurants and locations. Room was very clean, heated bathroom floor. Sent up some wine to celebrate our anniversary. Highly recommend this hotel. Great location to walk around Vancouver.

Good Hotel

A very good quiet and comfortable stay. Breakfast was included which was a good choice of buffet items. The outside hot tub/fire pit area is very good for a late relax. The hotel is a good walk into the main town area, but is very handy for local buses to town, the Gondola and Miniwanka lake.

While the hotel seems a little tired the Pacific Restaurant more than makes up for it. The food was exceptional, and the staff were so nice and helpful, despite the current difficulties with staffing. We were here with a tour group, had breakfast twice and dinner once. The Sunchoke Soup was a standout, I really liked the Pickles and Hummus too. The bartender is quite knowledgeable and helpful. Avocado Toast for breakfast was a winner, and my husband really enjoyed the Blueberry pancakes. Presentation was outstanding.

When Different is Surprisingly Good

Reviewed By PaulNazareth

As a frequent business traveler I don’t stay in this part of Vancouver often so I enjoyed trying a unique place instead of a standard chain. From my check in, I was delighted. Sure the staff were great, common. Then the room design truly impressed me ( unique shower see my pictures), there were so many contemporary beautiful design touches but the icing on the cake was my favourite coffee machine, Nespresso. And a legit stainless steel kettle. My room had a little terrace too. Bonus for working outside on a nice day and having a Nespresso coffee there each morning was a real peaceful treat. The pool is a little small but there is a sauna and a very nice outdoor lounge. The room had SO many environmental considerations I lost track of them all. Not just recycling but compost! No plastic bottles, refillable ones in the washroom. Add to that a glass bottle for filling up with filtered water which is on every floor at the ice machine, it’s all pretty impressive. Will stay here again for sure. Ps. Right outside the front door is a restaurant called Black Rice Izakaya, a solid quality place if you like Japanese food.
