Things to do in Berlin, Germany: The Best Comedy Clubs

October 26, 2021 Russell Mellin

Berlin is an edgy city, from its fashion to its architecture to its charged political history. The Berlin Wall is a sobering reminder of the hyper-charged postwar atmosphere, and yet the graffiti art that now covers its remnants has become symbolic of social progress. Check out the Weltzeituhr (world time) Clock, topped by a model of the solar system, then turn back time by dining at the historic Zur Letzten Instanz, a 16th century restaurant that was frequented by Napoleon and Beethoven.

We were welcomed in by Dhar and his team on a Friday night. Free shots and pizza right from the off - so you’re onto a winner. Dhar is a great compere and funny comic. The other acts we throughly enjoyed too, something for everyone. Shots, pizza plus beer and comedians made for an awesome night. I loved the location and atmosphere of this show. It's right next to the iconic East Side Gallery, and the Floating Lounge is an actual boat on the Spree. I loved being able to watch the sunset with a beer in hand in between the two halves of the show. And the show is nice and fast-paced. You get to see a lot of different comedians in a relatively short amount of time. This is a great thing to do before heading out to Friedrichshain bars for the night--the show puts you in a good mood for a good night out.

*Social Responsibility Suspension* We love to make people laugh. But the strain COVID-19 is starting to place on our health system is no laughing matter. Given the advice of the Berlin Amtsärzte to limit all social contact, we believe the only responsible thing to do is to suspend all our shows until this crisis has passed. Please keep safe, and we look forward to laughing with you again in good health. *Virtual Hugs* from all of us at ComedyShorts Berlin.

The show has great variety of funny games through which two teams compete for the win, in a fast swirl. It’s great to see how actors shine on different comedy styles and that each of them does improvisation in their comfortable selves - you see them enjoying and much as the audience :)
