The Model Railway Store is an exciting and vibrant model railways store on the High Street in Leighton Buzzard, supplying new and pre owned model railways, model trains and collectors toys from Hornby and Bachmann Branchline.

We sell a huge range of secondhand books from rare and collectable gems to good quality paperbacks. We also have a comfortable (ie with lots of squishy seats) 'Bargain Book Zone' which is stuffed full of books at £1 or £2. Our books cover all subjects, and come from all ages. The earliest we have sold was printed in 1476! We now operate from magnificent premises in the heart of Bedford and welcome all who love books. We love books - and we love people who love books.

We have two amazingly friendly and motivated assistants and we are constantly looking for opportunities to interact with local people and organizations. All of our products are premium quality for a friendly price, our mission is to have happy and satisfied customers with a sustainable operation in the background. We continuously take part in social events as well such as the Big Lunch Event, The Small Business Saturday. We regularly support local schools with raffle prizes (Gilbert Inglefield Academy, Totternhoe Lower School).
