Excellent teamwork by reservations team

Reviewed By luksy22

I recently again stayed at this property and just have to write this review. What a great atmosphere and teamwork at this hotel! This hotel is not just conveniently situated right next to the airport, but most importantly their staff are so accommodating and friendly. Reservations team with Ms. Kalina always managing and responding so promptly and in such a professional and friendly manner, they always go out of their way to make things happen, even in impossible situations of overbookings and when trying to optimise the occupancy of the hotel. So many times our company failed to provide prompt reservations request and Ms Kalina and her team always made sure our company was informed, encouraged and advised as well as managed to amend my bookings and provide best value for money, driving more business to the hotel. Nothing is a bother and they always greet guests with a friendly smile and a pleasant conversation. True class, usually reserved only for the best 5 star hotels! What a pleasure!

Parking fees, WiFi that doesn't work, dirty, unpleasant staff; the shower was OK and the bed was comfortable which is all I usually need, but this is only the second time I've ever posted on TripAdvisor, which means I must have been pissed off with the place.

Great staff – but tired, charmless property

Reviewed By UKTripAdviser

The location of this hotel is not great unless you relish being in the middle of an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere. Charging guests (£7) for parking seems unfair. Tired 1980s décor with the feint whiff of Shake and Vac. The bathroom had undergone a refresh in recent years. The bathtub had been removed and replaced by a shower – the water pressure of which was really poor. The toilet flush had been updated, but the floor tiles and sink were original and tired. The carpet and furnishings were also tired, but the room was clean. I found the bed to be comfortable, and got a good night’s sleep. All the staff I encountered were most courteous and efficient. Breakfast was average, and I was appalled that the hot food containers in the buffet had plastic covers which you had to lift up in order to serve yourself. At the best of times this would seem unhygienic – but so soon after the relaxing of the Covid-19 measures. I probably wouldn’t willingly stay here again. Being ‘loyal’ to the Hilton group I’d probably stay at the Hampton Inn next to Luton station (where I wouldn’t resent having to pay for the parking).

Very clean.

Reviewed By Georgie P

We were pleasantly surprised at this hotel, it's spotless! Funny little shower/toilet pod in room gave it a quirky feel, nice comfortable bed too. We had dinner and it was piping hot, beautifully presented and tasted delicious, not a great big menu but really well cooked meals. Staying here before an early flight with parking included through Holiday Extras, definitely use again.
