Art Gallery Benedicto Calixto

Reviewed By Delaware1st - Millsboro, United States

Just across from the beach, this is convenient place to spend a little time. The small garden has a few interesting sculptures and a pleasant diversion from the afternoon heat at the beach. The house itself is an art deco era gem. The interior has two levels - one dedicated to temporary exhibits - some remarkable photography when i visited - and the other floor houses a permanent exhibition of works by Calixto, considered one of the major exponents of Brazilian painting from the beginning of the 20th century. SO glad I took the time to check it out!
