This restaurant serves home made Auvergne food.
Try the local cured ham, pounti (mix of pork meat, veggies and fruit), truffade (potatoes and cheese mix). Most dishes are made in house with local products, no frozen food here!
Desserts are home made also.
The restaurant is located in the old city center, it's clean if not really design, it could be warmer with a little older lay out, maybe less lights, but the boss is so nice that you'll forget about this quickly.
Fair parices as well.

Une soirée très sympathique autour de plats cuisinés avec une belle présentation qui donne envie de savourer toutes les saveurs et servis avec une présentation soignée.
Le gout est dans l'assiette et se retrouve au fond sur le palet.
Un cadre agréable et calme pour passer un bon moment.

This was my last meal of seven on a three day trip to the Auvergne and the best was saved till last, after a thirst quenching glass of Pastis I enjoyed courgettes stuffed with a blue cheese mousse served with a salad, a main of confit leg of Turkey with seriously good mash and a terrine of fresh fruit. All washed down with a great local white wine and served by really friendly staff and the attention of a great patron. The perfect end to a great trip, well and worthily recommended.

Open on Sunday was a bonus as not many eating places deam to stay open in that town on Sundays.....
Good wine selection. Cosy, almost a little too cosy the spaces are quite tight but a good place to seek out to shelter from the cold over a hot lunch.The food was ok the sense of humour sadly lacking.

J’ai mangé en famille un dimanche dans ce restaurant, situé sur la commune de Joze.
L’accueil était correct, par contre le temps d’attente était très long. Nous sommes arrivés à 12:45 nous avons quitté les lieux à 15:20
Les plats étaient bons pour certains d’entre nous, un peu tiède.
Entrée plat fromage dessert 22€.
C’est un restaurant très agréable malgré tout mais il ne faut pas être pressé !

2eme passage ( la 1ere fois aux beaux jours en terrasse) et meme sensation tres bon accueil mais rien qui fait le plus !! attente longue ( moules frites et carte ) carte des vins anecdotique !! tres bruyant !!!

Pour y manger souvent, le restaurant propose des kebabs Sandwich à emporter ou des assiettes sur place ou à emporter. C'est très pratique quand on travaille à côté. Gérant sympathiques. Possibilité de manger dans le parc en face l'été

We enjoyed a really tasty, extremely filling, and amazing value "à volonté" (as much as you can eat) lunch on Wednesday 12th August at Sushi Hanaki, Thiers for only 16 Euros (save a few centimes) a head which worked out to less than £11.50!). Excellent choice, great presentation, top food quality and first class prompt, attentive and friendly service from English and French speaking front of house, all from such an inconspicuous looking place tucked down a side street at the bottom of Thiers town. Very highly recommended, especially for the price and service! Easy parking just outside but as the restaurant is in a one way street off the roundabout you have to go on one turning and double back around. The complimentary saki at the end of our meal was a nice touch which brought a smile to our faces with the pictures in the bottom on the little drinking cups :-) We will definitely be back soon, and hope to make this a regular haunt when we are in the area. Coming out of the restaurant shortly after 3pm to an extremely hot sunny day and a temperate of 41c took some managing after such a hearty meal - thank goodness for the air conditioning and cold counter in Carrefour supermarket down the road where we lingered much longer than usual! Maybe next time we will refrain from eating so much.

We decided to give this place a miss after looking at the menu and prices, as well as the food people were being served. Far too little choice, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions, and pricey for what we saw being served, which seemed overly fussy rather than well presented.
