A friend and I ate here on a day trip to The Hague from Amsterdam, and we were very impressed with our fish & chips. The menu is fully in Dutch, so prepare to ask the server what is the day's top choice. I would certainly recommend visitors to The Hague to try the fish here. Prices are very good, with a meal and drink coming to just over â¬14.

We had a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The Ambiente is very nice, food has been delicious and service was very friendly (good job Andy!). Even though all tables have been occupied, we always felt well served and very comfortable. Most import, sushi and fresh fish has been very yummy. Definitely a place to recommend!!!

I visited this restaurant early last night with my boyfriend . We did not have a reservation. It was lovely weather and the terasse looked like a lovely place to sit. We went up to the front and asked of they had a table for 2 and we had to wait a moment as we did not have a reservation even though there were many tables available and in the mean time multiple tourists were just sitting down on any random table. In the end they said it would be ok and we could take and table that was free . So we sat down and waited . After a while a waiter came and asked what we wanted to drink , I just ask for a large bottle of still water. Kind of annoyed we walked away . That took about 10 minutes till he came back with the water . Then a nother 3-5 min with a menu card . We already knew what we wanted as we had chosen this restaurant in advance . We wanted the tower of shellfish and crustacians. We also ordered some wine with that . But as soon as we ordered that ( litteraly the 2nd most expensive thing on the menu) the service attitude changed. They were pleased to serve us . They were quick , made shure we had things . Then the tower arrived. It was delicious . Lovely seafood , oysters, crab, mussels, razor clams,...We got extra sauces , half way through a water bowl for our fingers . We ordered dessert and tee and coffee after that but to try and get someone's attention for that was a bit difficult . You have to realy wave around to get some attention . All in all it was ok , but I don't think I will be coming back .

We had a nice lunch at Steam. The food was really nice and the service on very nice level, considering Dutch standards. The interior was also pleasant. We came when it wasnât too busy and we enjoyed the meal a lot.

Found myself with a spare night in Den Haag prior to attending a conference across town, and set out to find supper. Van Kinsbergen had earned very good reviews on TA, so I felt it was worthy of a try, and it most certainly was.I was found a comfortable table by the excellent staff without having booked in advance. The pub was busy, but certainly not too overcrowded, and had a good vibe amongst a very mixed audience of groups, couples and individual diners. Clearly a mix between locals and visitors to Den Haag. Beer was cold, plenty of draft choices, and the 'Brand' lager was welcome after an evening of travelling. I opted for the Veal Stew, and it was really very good. The menu is short and largely 'on trend' but judging by the empty plates at other tables, it was obviously being enjoyed by all of the diners. I skipped dessert and enjoyed some Vegan sweets with coffee, and as with my main, they were excellent! Overall, great value for money, friendly, welcoming and smart. Van Kinsbergen clearly deserves its rapidly building reputation.

Beautifullly located in Harbour Scheveningen (The Hague) with a nice view on the boats and yachts. Lovely staff, excellent choices of food (small and bigger dishes) and wine in a soothing ambiance. We had a proeverij (a starter consisting of little pieces of all starters on the menu) to start with and a beautiful black angus and tarbot. Nice location overlooking the inner harbor. Signs of a quality restaurant: open kitchen and limited menu.We had the three course menu and were all happy with our food. International classic dishes, with a choice of surf or turf. Prices a bit above average for the area, but this is probably one the better places to eat.

Thanks to the TripAdvisor reviews, we made a reservation for Spijs. What a wonderful restaurant. All the employees were friendly and accommodating. My husband and I both had the beef fillet. It is one of the best I've ever had - and we have dined at some pretty high end restaurants! It was cooked perfectly and was tasty and tender. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.
