The best available Villas to stay near Veneto

April 27, 2023 Milan Banda

One of Italy’s most visited regions, Veneto in the country’s northeast was independent for centuries until 1797, when Napoleon invaded. It then bounced among French, Austrian and Italian domination. Bordered by some of Europe’s most beautiful elements (the Adriatic Sea to its east, Lake Garda to its west, the Dolomites to its north, and the Po River to its south), Veneto is known for agriculturally rich valleys flowing down from Alps and for important cities like Venice, Verona and Padua.

Relaxing stay

A lovely gem of a hotel. Loved staying here and would not hesitate to return. Lovely big ceilings, sparkling clean rooms & bathrooms and a filling breakfast. We were checked in by the nicest gentleman who spoke excellent English but was prepared to talk to me in my pathetic Italiano. The rooms have a kettle, teas, coffee and biscuits etc. A mere 4 minute max walk to station if you are walking slowly. The trains to Venice are very frequent and cost less than €2.00 Big tip: when you come to the hotel by train you will come into Mestre station. whatever you do, don’t go up the stairs to exit rather follow the signs towards “Ulloa”. We went out the upstairs exit and got really lost. We crossed over but That side of the train tracks is to be absolutely avoided! So when you arrive at the station stay down below. Once you come up the ramp to the street the hotel is on your left hand side around 150 metres. If that gate is shut then turn left at the corner and you will have the front of the hotel on your left just a few metres away.

Quiet Get away

We enjoyed this well cared for estate. Located close to town, still need a car but the ground were well maintained and loved. Nice large rooms, quiet, very clean and simple. The restaurant was closed the night we were there, but we got to enjoy watching a wedding on the grounds below. Staff speaks a little english but enough to be of good service.

Great Stay! A little out of the way, but worth it!

Reviewed By Skullmann

This is a great hotel available at a great price! View from balcony towards the mountains was exceptional! Room is small but well furnished in Ikea style and comfortable. Dinner was offered during a very limited time (7-8pm) and was very good. Breakfast offered for an extended time in the morning was very good. The surroundings are pretty much run down (ghost town, especially in the off season) with many vacant buildings. Not much to do in town and very few options for food/drink (or none in the off season) unless you travel up or down the road 5-10km. However, surroundings are very safe and nice church adjacent to the property to visit. Grab a bottle of wine and some beer before arrival and enjoy the great stay and exceptional views!

Lovely Stay in Fantastic Area of Lido

Reviewed By 908pietras

Hotel is in a perfect location near to the beach, short walk to vaporetto and Gran Vialle also close to local restaurants and bars in the area. It is on the side of a canal, very peaceful. We were in Audrey Hepburn room with a balcony, large room, fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. There was a little fridge in the room to keep our water/drinks cool. Hotel and room were scrupulously clean. It is simply furnished but perfect for a city stay and it always smelt lovely when we cam back. Very friendly. Would stay again.

Relais Villa Ambrosetti

The Villa offers an array of different solutions, ideal both for families willing to enjoy long holidays and for shorter stays for couples and solo travellers. The three rooms and the suite were all named after the last century’s watercolors gracefully hanging on their walls portraying the flowers of the garden – dahlias, geraniums, roses and zinnias. Every room, freshly decorated with original antique pieces of furniture, has both air conditioning and fireplace, private bathroom and a delightful view on a particular glimple of the garden. The suite is equipped with an autonomous kitchen – ideal for long stays – and a living room with a cozy sofa bed to lodge up to four people.

Everything about our stay was simply perfect. It is a wonderful property with interesting history, beautifully renovated, in a great location, super quiet and relaxing atmosphere. What makes it extra special is the hospitality and kindness of the owner, Maddalena. Breakfast was super delicious with home made bread, orange marmelade, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and so much more. Every morning we got some great tips and advice on how to make the best out of our stay in Verona. I am so happy we discovered this villa, I cannot wait to come back for more ☺️ Grazie mille Maddalena y Serena!

Ca' Mazzega offers four holiday apartments in Venice strategically located and facing the Grand Canal of Murano. All apartments are equipped with all comforts (security door, air conditioning, SAT TV, washing machine, dishwasher) and the furnishing is typically Venetian with some antiques, prints and glass chandeliers from Murano.

Beautiful apartment away from the tourist bustle.

We only stayed two nights but would have loved to be able to extend it. The staff were very helpful and arranged our arrival so we didn't need to divert via their office. The apartment was lovely, furnished with classic furniture, and a well thought out kitchen. Situated right next to one of the main boat stops on the island of Murano, it made trips to Venice itself, Burano and Torcello easy. There is a Co-op supermarket nearby for self-catering, and we had a choice of three sizes of espresso maker! Live like a local!

Great place to stay near Garda

Reviewed By RovingProfessor

This was one of the best stays that I had in Italy. There are really only wo restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance, but the hotel was a great experience from the hustle and bustle of a busy travel schedule. It is important to have a car if you stay here. You can drive him to the charming town of Garda itself to spend a day and then return to this oasis to hang out by the pool and on the grounds. Highly recommended.
