Reviewed By GP UThe spacious cottage with own hot tub, porch and yard. Well heated living room with gigantic TV and functional kitchen (hiro will even provide japanese spices and condiments). Most of all, the extremely insane uninterrupted view of Mt. Fuji just outside the cottage and Lake Kawaguchiko is literally across the street!

Reviewed By jmnes12What can I say about Country Resort? 1) Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. 2) Amazing location. 3) Impeccable fixtures and finishes at the homes. 4) Incredible value for money Stayed late August in a 3-bedroom chalet and I think this will be an annual trip! Country Resort is centrally located to Hirafu which means great dining and shopping (if needs be) but you're also close to numerous running trails, the river and Mt. Yotei. Not only that but in a little over an hour by car you can reach Shakotan peninsula which on a good day could give Hawaii a run for its money! Speaking of money this place is very good value, especially if you're travelling with a family. A quick word on customer service. When I checked out, I remembered I left some clothing behind, I emailed the staff at reception at the airport and by the time I landed back in Tokyo the items were already on their way via express post. Amazing. I strongly recommend Country Resort and I will absolutely be back.

"VERY COSY". We opened FU-SHA in September, 2007. We wanted to show people from all over the WORLD the beauty, both natural and man made that Nikko offers. Since our home is directly across the street from the cottage, we are able to provide assistance when you need it during your stay at the cottage. This private Japanese style cottage has a small sitting room, a small kitchen, a large modern bathroom and can sleep up to 5 people. The rooms are Japanese style rooms with tatami mats and divided by fusuma(sliding doors). Japanese futons are laid on the tatami mats and they are very comfortable to sleep on. There are a microwave oven, a toaster, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, an electric pot and tableware in the kitchen. The bathroom has a big bathtub and a shower. In addition, there is an amazing Japanese high-tech toilet. The cottage has a high speed internet( wireless). My ancestors came to Nikko approximately 130 years ago and we have been living here ever since. Therefor we have all the information on Nikko you would like to know and we are happy to share that with you. We will happily provide a pick up from Nikko station. Traditional Japanese Accommodation with authentic atmosphere
Reviewed By AlexMazThe house is ideal for two people but can accommodate more if necessary. The owner is wonderful. She is very kind and thoughtful and picked us up from the station, took us to cafes for our evening meal and provided nice savoury-filled rolls, croissants, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. The house is simple and functional and in the traditional style (with lots of sliding doors and paper screens). The kitchen is well equipped (fridge, microwave, kettle and washing machine etc.) The bathroom was great with a huge room for the shower, which was nice. Sleeping is on a thick futon (ie no mattress) and the pillows are traditional (very firm) and take a little getting used to. The eating area is also traditional and is difficult if you cannot kneel easily (although there are two chairs). There are also tea/coffee-making facilities (ie nice Japanese tea and coffee bags). There is no TV or security safe. There is a reverse cycle Air Con unit and electric heaters to keep the living area nice and warm.

Next door to the house there are small shops really nice. Overall was great experience and I will come to stay again on my next trip to Mt Fuji... too bad we couldn’t see it the Mt Fuji due to bad weather condition. Thank you to all the team also for their warm welcome.

The owner/manager Hiroyuki-san picked my group up from Kawaguchiko station in a minivan which accommodated 4 of us and all of our luggage. 2. Hiroyuki-san remained contactable up-till the pickup timing through e-mail, which was very helpful because there was no way to contact him through phone (we did not have a Japanese phone number). Our connecting bus was delayed and we had to postpone the pickup timing, which he graciously accommodated. 3. He offered to stop by the supermarket in town for us to buy groceries before heading to the villa - an excellent suggestion as the villa is a residential area without shops around. 4. The villa was spacious and excellently furnished with almost anything you could imagine - Cookware and utensils, basic seasoning and oil, a full fridge, among others. Everything you'd need for a proper getaway. We booked the villa with a view of Mount Fuji from the bathtub. Enjoying the view in the heated jacuzzi tub was a great experience. The property is a 5 minute walk away from a small strip of park by Lake Kawaguchiko, with an excellent view of Mount Fuji and the Lake together. 5. Hiroyuki-san remained contactable through Whatsapp, and graciously offered to transport us when we discovered that the nearby bicycle rental store was not open. 6. Hiroyuki-san dropped us off at Kawaguchiko station after check-out. While the property is in a slightly remote area, the entire town is more or less a calm and chill place where shops close early. Therefore it probably would not be much different compared to staying in the town centre.

Reviewed By Venture04013618786We stayed at Churaumi Village for two nights. We were unlucky with the weather as it rained the whole time. The house was clean and well equipped. It was great to get some laundry done. The beds were not very comfortable and we didn't sleep well both nights.

Let's us feel like home. By walking distance 2 minutes can reach to port for Yanagawa boat ride. Surround with fabulous air and environments. Free entrance to Samurai museum togather with accommodation.

Isolation in Paradise
Reviewed By ESJ83I spent a night in this wonderful resort with the wife and the only thing I regret is that I didn't stay longer. The resort provides a lot of privacy as there are only 3 cottages and a beautiful infinity overlooking the grand clear blue sea. The location can't get much better as its away from civilization but at the same time, offers all the nice luxuries of a modern resort. The cottages are spacious, contemporary with a very nice south east Asian flavor. The owner is friendly and speaks good English. There is also a private beach for guest. If I was to comment, the beach could be cleaned up a bit. Overall, I have to say a solid 4.5 out 5. Tip - Check in when there is light as the location is in a isolated location. Also the local yaki nku place is really nothing to rave about. I suggest cooking in as there is a nice kitchen provided in all cottages. Try shopping beforehand. The village doesn't offer much. Enjoy

Great place to stay
Reviewed By Vikas SWe were group of 6 people and found this place as good change as we rented a villa. Property had kitchen and enough space to accommodate us all. It has own onsen within the premises which makes it more attractive choice. There is BBQ place and whole set of BBQ items were available. Place is little away from station so its better to use your own transportation. I think they provide pick and drop services to nearby station. I would surely recommend if you want to spend you holiday in good spacious and wonderful place close to nature. Cheers
