Five spacious red wooden villas, from 150 euros per night for 2. Four of the villas are nestled among the vegetation and one is upstairs with a view of the sea and its sunset. The latter will be better appreciated in the new wooden hut nestled in a mango tree, with a view of the Soufriere. Each villa is designed for everyone's privacy and calm, you can enjoy the swimming pool and its Spa for the Désirable villa and a private Spa for the other four villas. In addition for all, Infinity pool with a Teak terrace to enjoy the sun. Located 15 minutes from Basse Terre and 10 minutes from the village of Vieux Habitants we await you for a peaceful stay in the heart of a lush garden. On the first heights of Vieux-Habitants, fruit trees and tropical flowers accompany you on this land ventilated by the trade winds. Reservation on our site is possible with visibility of availability. Possibility of breakfast. Villas ideally located for exploring Guadeloupe. Car essential.

Reviewed By benschenkelWe spent two weeks in this gorgeous property, doubling the length of our stay because of the wealth of nearby activities and the incredible treatment we received from the owner Rodrigue. He greeted us with a decadent basket of tropical fruit, French pastries and two jugs of homemade rum punch. The unit had everything you could ask for to make it a comfortable experience, from a mosquito-killing racket to a rainbow-lit jacuzzi. The internet was also much stronger than advertised, which made it possible to telework from this luxury villa. Not only did we greatly enjoy the Infinity pool area, but Rodrigue went out of his way to invite us for a dinner of local delicacies including langoustine. We still cannot believe his level of genuine hospitality. This is a paradise with close access to beautiful beaches and nature hikes, conveniently situated between Bouillante and Basse-Terre. The value for money was exceptional. Definitely make a point to stay here!

Reviewed By bretagnesylvieTrès bel accueil et attentions par les propriétaires. Petit punch pour le soir et le nécessaire sur la terrasse le lendemain matin pour le pdj et des confitures maison. Par contre le gîte mériterait quelques travaux de rafraîchissement notamment dans la cuisine et la sdb un peu datée. Nous n'avons pas du tomber dans le bon gîte compte tenu des commentaires. Par contre les locaux sont très propres et la vue sur la baie des Saintes magnifique. Pour une nuit au retour des Saintes c'est très pratique.

Observation of cetaceans (sperm whales, dolphins, humpback whales, pilot whales, beaked whales ...), observation of turtle nesting sites (June to August). - Snorkeling tour, about 1 hour long, to see the green turtles of Malendure beach facing La Réserve Cousteau. At about 10-20 meters from the right edge of the beach, there is a herbarium on a sandy bottom where the turtles feed. Reviewed By Mabu100We had a little bit of problem to find the place in the dark, but when we finally arrived everything was great! Hughes, the owner, welcomed us already in the garden and quickly explained us everything we needed to know. The apartment was very spacious and clean and was equipped with all you need for a relaxed holiday. There's a little pool in the garden and the closest supermarkets are a 5 minute drive away. You can even use the washing machine for free if you stay here for longer. There is always a nice breeze so you don't really need the air conditioning. The views from the balcony are breath taking. One direction you see the mountains with the rain forest, the other direction you can see the sea with all the little boats. Couleur Caraïbes is the right place if you want to explore Basse Terre and even Grand Terre is in easy reach! Hughes is an exceptional host who is always happy to help if you have questions or a problem. We hope we will visit Guadeloupe again and without a doubt we will stay at Couleur Caraïbes if possible!

Le Parc aux Orchidees is a set of four bungalows immersed in a 2000 m2 garden with the tropical atmosphere of the guadeloupean forest, containing a large collection of orchids. The Spa of the site also welcomes you for massages, skin scrub and private jacuzzi in a natural environment.

Reviewed By PinkscorpioMy husband and I stayed for 7 nights at the Parc aux Orchidees in December of 2009. It was a beautiful Parc with really nice accomodations. Our cabin was spacious, clean and romantic. Every morning Valerie Gautier, the owner, brought us fresh fruits, fresh juices and croissants. They were delicious! Humming birds and other tropical birds visited us often on our outdoor patio. We swam in the pool, used the hottub, and got incredible massages in the open air canopy overlooking the gardens. It was very peaceful and quiet. Valerie and Richard Gautier are lovely people. They were very helpful with recommendations for sight seeing and restaurants. They tended to our every need. We would definitely return to stay at the Parc aux Orchidees again! The location was also really good. It is very close to the route de traverse (which cuts through the rain forest to the other side of the island), close to the quaint town of Point Noir and Deshailes where we went shopping and had wonderful dinners. It is also close to arguably the best beach in all of Guadeloupe, Grand Anse. Additionally we were close to Plaige de Mallendure, a black sand beach with many water sporting activities, including Jacque Quosteau's underwater park and a fabulous restaurant.

The attention to detail with everything pink was incredible - the bungalow, the bedding, the towels, the toilet seat, the chairs, the plates, etc etc. The swimming pool was very clean and refreshing. The gardens clean and well kept. Easy walk to the great supermarket in one direction and the beach in the other direction. Rémy, the owner, always friendly and available . Ideally situated between Sainte Rose and Deshaises. Would highly recommend and can"t wait for the opportunity to stay again.

Reviewed By corneliai658Beautiful spot settled at the edge of a topical forest. The studio is very pretty, tidy and well equipped, the garden is gorgeous, spacious swimming pool. We had a wonderful time and received a very warm welcome. The stunningly beautiful beach La Grande Anse is 7 minutes walk away. The best restaurant in Deshaies is La Savane by Emilia.

The location is ideal for exploring all the beautiful beaches, rain forests and other attractions offered by Basse Terre, From Les Gites you are only a five minute walk to the spectacular shoreline of Pointe Allegre and Plage de Clungy. You are close to the village of Deshaies (featured in the BBC series Murder in Paradise), great snorkeling spots, the Grand Cul de Sac Marin and many other beautiful places to discover. We had an amazing stay. Can't wait to return.

Reviewed By flaviop294Si tratta di una bella dimora circondata da un giardino tropicale ben curato con piscina. La posizione e molto conveniente perche' vicina all'autostrada e centrale per visitare tutta l'isola. Si trova su di una collina con dintorni lussureggianti.
