The best available Specialty lodgings to stay near Santo Domingo

April 23, 2023 Claudia Navarrete

Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic and a UNESCO world heritage site, is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the Americas and one of the most populous cities in the Caribbean. The city is a mix of old world charm and modern Latin flair. Its medieval palaces and fortresses mix with nightlife and shopping to rival any modern city in the world. You'll find pristine beaches and hidden gems like a salsa/merengue club set inside a huge underground cave.

Beautiful hostel with very kind and helpful people

We had such a great experience visiting this hostel, great rooms, a pool and more of a chill vibe then the other hostels around. The owners were very helpful with finding nice places and telling us where to go. Also the cleaners are very friendly and will help you with everything they got when you ask them for something. Also gave us very helpful tips for the rest of our travels.

Mix feelings about this place - Good vibe, great location, clean rooms and the staff was polite Unfortunately, it was also loud at night and the bathroom only had cold water. I asked the front desk about it, and was told that "It was advertised with cold water only.." For the price I paid, I expect a warm shower, especially after a long flight!

DO NOT STAY HERE

Absolutely the worst! It is in a horrendous part of time where YOU WILL BE IN DANGER! I booked online and received confirmation of my booking. I was told to write an email to confirm my booking which I did. When I showed up at 9:30 at night I was told NO ROOMS AVAILABLE and left on the side of the road with my luggage in a horrible part of town. Whatever you do DO NOT STAY HERE!

Nice location

Extrem schlecht

Reviewed By nikolettap214
