Brilliant value very good base for exploring
Reviewed By Simon HThe rooms are very good, clean and tidy. Martina the young cleaning lady was very helpful and spoke very good English. She made sure that we had everything we needed. We stayed for a week with no complaints. It is in a central location with view up to the castle, very close to the railway station. In addition to the list of amenities we had a hair dryer in the room. The parking is very easy just outside the door. Be aware there are no catering facilities on the premises, however there are numerous good restaurants and cafes within a few minutes walk. The only negative point we had was that the shower holder was broken so you had to hold the shower by hand. As some others have put, reception is in the "casino" underneath which can be interesting as not all the staff speak English, but we managed and the paperwork was completed. You can feel traffic vibration/noise at times.

The staff is very friendly. Do not forget to get a free parking card for your car. I would give it 5 points for the value but it is a very small hotel...

It was okay despite the restaurant being out of service
Reviewed By Mike PWe stayed at the Oaza pension after having driven across Europe to deliver my glider for some refurbishment work nearby. Accommodation is on the first floor (second floor to our American cousins) and first impressions were that the place was a little run down. Access was via a metal fire escape type staircase and our room was along a longish corridor. The room itself, although only decorated to a basic standard was quite okay. We liked the lobby which led to the ensuite bathroom. This gave us a bit more storage. We then encountered a problem. We had understood that our booking was for bed and breakfast but with no restaurant, breakfast would not be possible. There was a small communal kitchen available for the residents as well as a nice outside patio/deck to the rear of the property which overlooked the adjacent park. The owner of the pension kindly arranged for some breakfast cereal and tea/coffee making for us and we were able to enjoy a simple breakfast which was quite sufficient for our needs. A problem solved. In terms of location, it is set between the twin towns of Prievidza and Bonije. It is immediately adjacent to a very pleasant public park which has a cafe where you can get basic foods like pizza as well as, of course beer. A large shopping area is nearby in Prievidza. So will I stay there again? Very probably. When the restaurant is back in service, I imagine that this wil be a very pleasant and well situated pension.

Reviewed By bruderbigWir waren während eines Familienbesuchs für ein paar Tage hier einquartiert und wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Zur Pension gehört ein sehr beliebtes Buffet/Restaurant, welches wegen der herrlichen naturnahen Lage (inkl. Bach) von vielen lokalen Ausflüglern frequentiert wird. Velotourenfahrer treffen auf Familien und Wanderer, aber auch von weithin kommen die Leute für die Spezialität des Hauses: Langose (Langosche gesprochen). Aber auch die weiteren slovakischen spezialitäten wie die Halusky oder die Kuttelsuppe waren exczellent! Speziell: es gibt hier eine weitum bekannte gefasste quelle, welches mineral- und kohlensäure-haltiges wasser hat, für welches viele Leute kommen und flaschen und kanister abfüllen. Der geschmack ist allerdings etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Der standard des hauses ist zwar einfach, aber sehr sauber und die Leute sind extrem zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir empfehlen diese Pension wärmstens weiter! Wer slovakische Gastfreundschaft erleben möchte, ist hier bestens aufgehoben!

Reviewed By Всеволод ЛВыдалась внезапная ночевка в Тренчине. Оказалось не так просто найти в 2 часа ночи отель. Часть бронирована за ранее. Часть не работает рецепшн. Подсказал таксист. Неказистое на вид здание прекрасно отремонтировано внутри. Мебель не самая новая но вполне целая. Номер чист идеально! И за все 25 ойро! Приятным бонусом оказалось то что окна номера выходят прямо на замок! Вид просто захватывающий!

Under the castle
Reviewed By krystian243Very good localization under the castle. Big, clean and comfortable room. Very fast, free wi-fi. Big shower, however in our room the toilet was situated in the entrance to the shower, and it was quite difficult to get in. The price includes nice breakfast in Restaurant pod Hradom. But, You have to pay for a parking place 10 Euro per night in Hotel pod Hradom - quite expensive, especially, there is to little place for cars and we had a problem to park a car there, though we have made a reservation before.

Reviewed By gulackoPenzión: síce zastaralá budova, ale udržiavaná v čistote, príjemný úslužný personál, rodinného typu, prostredie útulné, čisté. Za dobrú cenu na prenocovanie postačujúce. Raňajky na výber, uspokoja každého, porcie dostatočné. Prostredie a areál pôsobí blahodarne na dušu.
