Reviewed By Rob SChina Eastern Airlines put about 50 of us up in this rat trap overnight. First, the entire place was filthy and smelled. The rooms were small, no Wi-Fi anyplace in the hotel. No one spoke English. No water bottles available for sale. Bed was hard as concrete. What more can I say; keep looking. .

Beautiful Hotel, Great Service!
Reviewed By dagny70This hotel is absolutely beautiful and we received such great service, in particular from Vicky, who spoke fantastic English and was so helpful! I had booked a non-smoking room with two single beds (it was all that was available on the website) but I connected with Vicky before we arrived to see of there was any chance of getting a room with one double bed. She actually gave us a room which was more like a suite, with a separate living room area, HUGE King-sized bed and a gorgeous bathroom with separate tub. The room had underfloor heating, much welcome for a trip in December! Our flight arrived very late (01:30) but Vicky had arranged a driver to meet us at the airport so it was all very smooth and easy. We finally met Vicky at breakfast the following morning, and when she found out we are vegan, she offered to get the kitchen to make us some different vegetables – very kind. She walked us to the old town (about 10 minutes away from the hotel) and told me to phone her if we got lost! She also offered to help us buy bus tickets to travel to Shangri-la. I have never known such service, truly above and beyond! Unfortunately, Day 2 of our trip, we got very sick and spent the next two days in bed until finally deciding to travel back home to Shanghai. During this time, Vicky kept us supplied with drinking water, tissues and hot ginger tea. Such care and attention when you are feeling terrible goes a long way! When we told her we would be leaving and not continuing with our trip, she again arranged a driver to take us back to the airport. The hotel itself is stunning, set around a series of courtyards in a traditional Chinese style, but very warm and comfortable. As I mentioned, it is a 10-minute walk along a small river to reach the old town. Breakfast has a small offering of toast, pastries, cereal, some hot Chinese dishes, tea and coffee. In the next few months, we want to return to this beautiful part of China and continue with our trip – when we do, we will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again. Thanks, especially to you Vicky!

(Fiez vous plus aux indications des cartes et au bon sens qu'au GPS!!!!!). Charmant jardin, tables à l'extérieur pour manger et lac à proximité.

Reviewed By BatemansBayNutRoastIt was great to telephone our hosts 15 minutes before arriving in town, and then have them awaiting us as we got off the bus. (The bus trip from Dali to Shangri La was spectacular, and perhaps the best part of the trip.) Our hotel was across the road from the Monastery, and although a little out of town, (25 cents, 1rmb, on the bus) which on our first trip was full of traditionally dressed women, all singing traditional songs, Enough to bring a tear to this emotional traveller, personally, we would not stay anywhere else. It's family run, and they are a beautiful and warm family. Language could be a problem, but wow, the rooms and surrounds are a treat. Water was hot, heater/ air con worked a treat, though the altitude took its toll. We had such a wonderful experience staying in this family hotel. Xie Xie mine hosts.

Distance to erhai lake only 3km, to cangshan Mountain only 5km . Hotel already has more than 185 years old of Bai people's traditional house .
On a quiet ally off the touristy walking streets

It’s near the end of a dead-end alley that also has the Catholic Church on it. It felt a bit abandoned when we were there because of the tourist slowdown during the pandemic. The restaurant was closed so no breakfast, and the staff weren’t always there. They were very nice and I think will do a proper Chinese tea service if you ask. The setting is very nice - two stories traditional old structure around a courtyard. The rooms are a bit odd though - the lighting and bathroom. The reception/lobby had a nice sitting area. You do have to walk in a bit since it’s off a walking street so no cars are allowed. A staff member drove us out on a small motorized buggy.

Great location & Character

Service was friendly, only one receptionist doing her very best but let down by the absence of any English language skills whatsoever who also doubled as the cook for breakfast. Bizarrely they provided separate breakfast rooms for Chinese & Foreign guests. Westerners were provided with freshly cooked single fried egg & one slice of toast which took approx 20 minutes to serve and following complaints a second round of egg & toast another 15 minutes ...that was it. The Chinese guests had local food which looked really nice and plenty off it.

Reviewed By 热啊去旅行这里的房间价格还比较实惠，而且房间也还不错，干净，而且可以免费上网，但是需要自己另外加付水费电费，房间内没有空调，所以夏天很热，但房间价格确实低，各项服务做的很好，行李的存放，免费的停车场，还有叫醒服务，比较贴心。

Reviewed By 叫我仙度瑞拉酒店客房的卫生和以往住的酒店相比差了些，卫生间里会有一些异味，因为窗户很小，放了好久才好一点，位置倒是不错，就在步行街的附近，特意挑的位置，逛街很方便的，还有酒店的电费和水费会让客人单独结算的，所以要节约哦
