Reviewed By uabhasach_DJI was impressed with the service and the room. There was even a sanitary napkin in the bathroom. Never have I seen that small but considerate detail before. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I had a good sleep, which usually is impossible for me in a hotel.

Reviewed By Vicki GNeeded a hotel due to KGH visit. Zed is close to the hospital and offers unbeatable rates. So stress-free. Dogs, no problem. Early check-in, no problem. This was without question the cleanest and best maintained hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff were great. Love this place.

Manager was great, very helpful! Close to the beach.lots of restaurants around, good shopping centres . Most within walking distance.

Lakeview combines quality and affordability in a quiet location. We are close to the beach and all amenities. Our heated salt water pool is a summer hit as are the barbecues and picnic area. Families love our spacious one and two bedroom suites. Pets are not accepted. As of October 1,2020 no smoking, vaping, or cannabis use will be permitted anywhere on property (including parking area).

Reviewed By RGlenn88I guess one could fairly say it is a diamond in the rough. The rooms are a good size, good location, clean and comfortable. It has outdoor barbecues for people wanting to cook their own food which is nice. It kind of is a large courtyard where the vehicles are parked but people get out of their rooms and socialize there. Really kind of a nice change!!

Reviewed By 36debbyThe room was very clean and recently remodeled. It had all new bathroom fixtures. The kitchenette was brand new and well appointed. Wonderful coffee maker. Plenty of fresh air from new windows and very comfortable beds. New air conditioner. One of the best motel experiences I’ve had and I’ve stayed in many over the years. The owner is friendly and helpful. The price is very reasonable. It was very quiet even though it’s on Highway 97. I stayed with my small dog and we both had a peaceful, comfortable 5 days there.

We did want the pool,.....but then there was the Covid. Made a nice little dinner one night, kitchenette had all the right utensils and extras,....enjoyed the peace of the area. The room was nice, and modern. The bathroom had a nice a shower. The owner shared a nice story,....I liked this place.

Not what it used to be
Reviewed By 844jbThe Bowmont used to be a great value - not fancy but good facilities, very clean, friendly staff and great location. That has unfortunately changed with the new ownership. This was our third stay, first under this new ownership. Our room wasn't ready at check-in so we had to wait for it to be 'cleaned' - I'm not sure what they were doing while we waited, because the room was not at all clean once we were allowed in. Sink, dishes, kitchen walls, bathtub etc all had visible grime that we cleaned ourselves; dirty dish sponge left in sink from previous guests. The previous owners were meticulous about keeping the grounds clean and tidy, where now there will be litter on the ground every morning, pool towels left hanging everywhere. Just generally fairly gross. It's unfortunate because the location is perfect and it is such a cute quaint motel that is great for families, but with the way it is being maintained now we won't be returning.

Amenities for all ages include playground, tennis & volleyball courts, paddleboards, kayaks and a canoe. Complete smoke free property including our beach!
Terrible experience
Reviewed By Z3412RScottThe woman (Manager) who checked us in was rude and super bitchy to us. Not only upon check in, but any time we asked her a question about anything. Such an unpleasant experience. She made us feel completely unwelcome. We came to relax but felt stressed because of her bad attitude towards us. To the point that on our 4th day we spent the whole day driving around trying to find alternate accommodation, but everything was fully booked due to several golf tournaments. So we had to stay put. To add insult to injury we booked this place as we were told that after the May long weekend we could use their kayak or canoe free of charge and that we just needed to go to the office and book it. We checked in on May 28th and were told they haven't brought them out yet. Every day we checked to see if they were available, but we kept hearing that they hadn't brought them out yet. So frustrating to be told this is part of the amenities only to find out otherwise. Finally on day 5 of our 7 day stay they brought the beach equipment out at 4 pm and we were able to go out for a paddle. On day 6 of our stay we had a lazy morning and went to the office to book the kayak for 5:30pm. We were going .out for lunch and on wine tours in the afternoon. We were told that the Manager (the bitchy one) advised that the kayak couldn't be booked past 4 pm as they didn't have the manpower that day. I said my hubby is here - he is the manpower to bring the kayak in and out of the water. They didn't budge. So we had to rush our lunch out and wine tours to be back by 4 pm. Had we known that for 5 days of our 7 day stay we wouldn't have access to the beach equipment they promised (or the manpower), we would have stayed at a place with a pool and hot tub. We feel that advertising that there is beach equipment to use and then Sandy Beach suites not providing it that it is deceptive marketing. We are not okay with that. This was our first time staying here. Between the bitchy attitude of the Manager and lack of promised beach equipment, this place gets a big thumbs down from us.

Nice pool, great staff
Reviewed By J WI believe the woman and her husband that we dealt with were wonderful, very responsive, they went way beyond what a regular employee would do to make us comfortable. They answer the phone immediately at any time. The place was very clean. This is a budget type motel and it was not cheap because we got the unit with two beds. I think they were double beds. They were in two different rooms but I could still hear noises from the front room because there is an opening over the door between the two rooms to allow air circulation from the a/c in the bedroom. The rooms are small and decor is plain but pleasant. This place has a nice kitchen which could be really handy if you wanted one. The dining table is on wheels which surprised me. It had 4 hard back chairs and no really comfortable chairs or sofa but that was not a problem for us. They had all the amenities like shampoo, facial tissues, nice towels including towels at the pool. The outdoor pool was wonderful, clean, nice variety of depths more than the usual shallow hotel pools and warm enough, much better temperature than I have found in large chain hotels. Lots of nice lounge chairs. We never heard the neighbors. There were two nice televisions, one in each of the two rooms. It would be nice if we could lock the windows opened just partway for security reasons because the outside air was lovely at night and this is on the ground floor in a motel layout where we could park right in front of our unit. Very handy. The a/c went off and on and made noise. But we did not hear road noise. Our unit was back off the road. One bed had a night stand which was nice, the other bed did not. Overall this was an impressive place and would be great for families.
