Australia is as varied as it is enormous-- it is home to thriving cities, vast wilderness, and earnest, friendly people. Sydney is for sophisticates, with its famous opera house and annual Sculpture By the Sea outdoor art exhibits. Port Douglas makes a great base for snorkeling or diving the Great Barrier Reef, and quaint lighthouses keep vigil along the beaches of Byron Bay. Melbourne is a hub of rousing cricket activity, and the limestone pillars of the Pinnacles Desert are a natural wonder.

Sky Motor Inn is a good option for drivers exploring Blue Mountains. It is located a short 3 min drive to Katoomba town and just outside the Great Western Highway. Check in was fast and staff gave a quick run down on the places of interests with helpful suggestions. Room is of decent space (we booked a Family Room for 5 which comes with one large bed, 3 single beds, a dining set and bathroom) and clean. Place is quiet despite it having high occupancy rate (judging by the number of parked cars).

Nestled in the Seven Valleys, Black Gold was originally the old Wallerawang School, built in 1881. Through a series of imaginative transformations since 1995, Black Gold Motel & The Crib Room Restaurant was created – a clean, comfortable, unique, award-winning experience. Surrounded by world-class attractions such as the Glow Worm Tunnel, Zig Zag Railway, Capertee Valley, Jenolan Caves, Wolgan Valley. If you are into dirt bikes, off-road 4WD, bush walking, bird watching, fishing, or anything in the outdoors, you will be surrounded by endless opportunity. Despite its humble foundations, Black Gold Motel has established itself amongst some of the best hotels in Australia for service. Trip Advisor awarded us the 2020 Travellers Choice “Best of the Best” award for service which placed us #5 in Australia & #11 in South Pacific. The walls of the Black Gold Motel carry echoes of the region’s mining history. The name ‘Black Gold’ is derived from the local coal mining industry. The coal was nicknamed ‘black gold’. The buildings of the Motel have fond memories for generations of locals who attended the school, and the boutique property stands as a proud icon of the town. In recognition of the property’s history, many rooms are named after school teachers & local mines to celebrate the rich industrial history of the area.
My wife and I stayed there for a night and loved it. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Restaurant & bar really good and not something we expected. Rooms clean and well appointed and wifi worked well. Would recommend.

What a fantastic stay we had at the Heritage Bendigo. We travelled from Sydney to Bendigo to visit the Elvis Exhibition, and after a long drive my family and I were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. When we explored our room they were extremely clean and “COVID” safe. Every amenity was available to keep us warm from heating in the bathroom and extra blankets, even an electric blanket if needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was no more than 10mins to pretty much everything to see in Bendigo. I highly recommend!,

BIG4 Gold Coast Holiday Park is the nearest caravan park to the Gold Coast Theme Parks with family and pet friendly accommodation located across the road from Movie World, Wet'n'Wild, Outback Spectacular & only 2 minutes' drive from Dream World & White Water World. It's the perfect place to base yourself when exploring the Gold Coast. With our very own Water Park and a range of new activities such as Foot Pool, Bocce, Frisbee Golf and an off road Remote Control Car Track. Saltwater Creek runs through the property, where you can go fishing or throw in you kayak and go for a paddle.
Definitely not PET friendly ,dog yes but that's it. Nothing in their bookings or T&,Cs We booked in for 2 nights and let them know at checking we had a cat. At there discretion he could stay as long as he was kept contained see photos We liked the park and decided to stay a full week only to be told that they have some issues with the cat and we will call you back. The response was... Sorry your site is unavailable for those dates , so we asked for a another site to only be no again and we knew this was incorrect. They then told us we could not extend our stay any longer because of the cat. Dogs only allowed as it is a Flora and Fauna park ? There was no need to lie to us about availability. Not everyone travels with dogs. There are responsible cat owners as well. We were very disappointed especially as it was $177 for a powered site for 2 days. We rebooked up the road and the manager had no problems with our cat.

We paid $120 per night for an executive tudor room which is well worth upgrading to for an extra $10 or so for the northerly aspect and balcony. The tariff has barely gone up since our very first stay 8 years ago. Pros We were checked in by a more mature gentleman who went above and beyond to give us outstanding service. Requests for early check in, late check out, quiet room were all granted with a smile. We love this hotel because it has lots of character, comfy beds and it is is a great position. We especially like that Harris Farms is just across the road and it is only a short walk to restaurants, clubs etc. Highly recommended

Centrally located next to the the water in the middle of Port Macquaries's CBD. Leave your car and walk easily to restaurants, shops, beaches and activities.
A great location on the water’s edge. Free parking on the site with a lift available to access the 3 floors. Just a short walk to restaurants and cafes, the Port Central Shopping Centre and the Glasshouse Theatre. A lovely pool & spa area with towels provided at reception, a grassed picnic/bbq area and bikes available for free hire. The room was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable with views of the river from the small balcony. The kitchenette included a bar fridge, microwave and cutlery/crockery for 2 people. A good quality free wifi connection also available.
