At Muiden is the magnificent Muiderslot Castle, as if it stepped out of a fairy tale. Showing more wear but no less interesting is Brederode Castle at Santpoort. At Zaanstad is Zaanse Schans, one of Holland’s top tourist destinations and a family-friendly open air museum of windmills, traditional buildings, crafts and shops.

Lucky find!
Reviewed By 223ingridmIt was lunch time and we decided to try and find a restaurant in Oostknollendam (Wormer council). We found this lovely place on the waterfront and what a lucky find. Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice menu, lovely food - well presented - and decent prices. All in all a great lunch!

Wonderful temporary home
Reviewed By Stefan LAs we were renovating our apartment, we needed a place where we could stay for some five weeks. Luckily, we chanced upon this holiday park. Located right opposite the nature reserve it is quite quite, allowing one to be woken up by the birds; the air is wonderfully clean and invigorating. The bungalow might resemble a Hobbit-dwelling, but it had all mod cons, in splendid working order. After a while, it truly felt like home, especially as the renovation works got to the crunch; we could just move to our bungalow and relax a little, away from it all. Unfortunately, the weather was not forthcoming in March, with low temperatures, strong winds and torrential rainfall. But we had the best of times. This is one of the nicest holiday parks I've stayed in.

A lovely few days stay here
Reviewed By sporty521We had a lovely few days stays here in April to go to see the beautiful gardens in Kerkenhoff . Judith our host was very nice and really helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, she helped us with places to visit and lots of information. The log fire was lovely and cozy in the evenings also.

Reviewed By Biancav827Wij gaan nu voor de 2e keer naar bed en bike de koog De 1e keer werden we netjes ontvangen en naar de kamer gebracht,waar we ook nog uitleg kregen Mooie kamer met mooie badkamer Alles was goed en netjes verzorgd Ook was alles mooi schoon De locatie was ook goed dichtbi hey strand de koog en de muy. We gaan nu in april voor de 2e keer. Omdat we we het daar gfoed naar de zin hebben gehad bij bed en bike de koog. Ook kwa prijs is het goed te doen .Betaalbaar

There are minor issues with maintenance, such as cracked tiles. Breakfast is fine, but quite limited in scope. Some rooms suffer from smoke rising from the smoking room. You may want to request a room on the front

Reviewed By Anne BWe stayed with a group of 18 at de Wierschuur for a family weekend and had a brilliant time. It's suitable for leisure stays as well as business meetings and team building. This is a superb venue for groups that are looking for modern, clean, quality, spacious and private accommodation. The Wierschuur features multiple bedrooms each with their own ensuite bathroom which is pretty unique. The beds are super comfortable and spacious and the house has absolutely everything you need including a big garden, large terrace, fully-equipped kitchen, plenty of lounge / dining space, strong wifi, table tennis & table football facilities as well as a BBQ. The surroundings are quiet, the location is easily accessible and there is plenty to do nearby for day trips as well.
