Breakfast was superb because they offer good selection of ala carte breakfast with buffet spread too! Just wow! There are also lots of good shops and restaurant around the area but no need to go far, because they also have a very good and quite popular Resto-bar downstairs with wide range menu from European to Thai cuisines! So if you are looking for cheap but good place with good service, amazing view and delectable food in Kata, think no more! Two Chefs Inn is definitely the place! highly recommended!

The best sausage and mash I’ve ever had even better than home in London. Cold beers, 2 minute walk to the beach as well as being close to other shops/bars/restaurant. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome during my stay ♥️ I would come back in a heartbeat

Reviewed By Jessie MMy boyfriend and I booked this place for two nights, it was decently priced since it wasn't busy season. Very basic, little balcony, had aircon, decent sized room. The location was very good as it was near the busy part in Karon and had awesome markets just down the road, close to the beach. The downfalls were the extremely slow and sometimes not working wifi, especially during low season which made me think what it might be like in busy season. And the beds were SO hard, not great sleeps were had. Probably wouldn't be back but friendly staff and good location.

Reviewed By sydneysteveThe hotel is set back from the main road and only a short walk to the beach. I was one of three guests due to the situation. My Superior double room was a good size. Aged hotel but feels solid as is what I think was the original furniture. Wardrobe with hanging and storage space with drawers. Quiet aircon, adequate lighting and TV with international channels.The bed had clean linens with a typical firm mattress. The bathroom was the downside. You have to step up and over to stand in the bathtub to use a hand held shower rose. Might not be practical for those not so agile.The soap/shampoo was not easily accessible. Also, each time I set my preferred water temperature after about 5 minutes the water inexplicably became very hot. Spooky. If they removed the bath tubs and replaced with recessed showers they would be far more user friendly. With only 3 guests, breakfast was limited to eggs and/or bacon, small hotdogs, toast, jams, coffee, juice and 2 fruits which was enough for me. There was a restaurant just down the road where I had dinner each night after watching the sunset at the beach. Overall I had a comfortable stay except for the bathroom.

Sugar and Spice Inn offers eight 28 square meter spacious rooms with air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. We offer a safe and friendly stay for singles, couples and family guests. We have both double bed and twin bed rooms. Sugar Inn is located in central Kata Beach, just a short 200 meter walk along a traffic free footpath. We are close to shopping, night markets, and attractions such as Dino Park mini golf. Karon Beach is less than one kilometer away. Sugar and Spice restaurant is right downstairs and has been popular for many years in Kata. We serve both Western and Thai specialities. It's delicious!
Great place to stay and eat
Reviewed By loissanbornPlease note, this is a very belated review...we stayed at Sugar Inn during October 2019 for 5 nights. My partner and I spent almost a month in Thailand, traveling to Koh Samui, chiang Mai, and Phuket. Phuket overall was not my favorite place we went to, but staying at Sugar Inn made it a lot better. First of all, the room was huge, nicely appointed and decorated, and had thoughtful additions that a lot of hotels at this price point probably don’t include: slippers to wear inside the room, drying rack for swimsuits, a beach bag with towels for beach use, and plush robes. In terms of room quality, this was the nicest place we stayed aside from a beach resort in Koh Samui that we won a trip to. All of the staff at sugar inn were friendly and always greeted us with a smile. The manager (I think?) frequently checked in with us to see if there was anything else we needed and she spoke very good English. Breakfast every morning was a nice addition and always delicious. As I recall I loved the banana crepes. We ate dinner there a couple times too, and food was great then too. And watermelon at the end of the meal was a lovely touch! Close to the Kata Night Market so there’s tons of other options for food just across the street. Only thing I’d add, which is not the hotels fault, merely something other travelers should be aware of: both the shuttle driver who took us there from the airport, and a driver who picked us up for an excursion, couldn’t find the place! It’s not super obvious from the street that there’s a hotel here, and you may want to find a larger hotel nearby to use as a landmark for taxi purposes.

Great rooms and service
Reviewed By hla19Great rooms and service and you have water, tv, fridge, soap, AC, toiletpaper, towels inside room. Wi-fi is okej here but sometimes logg out automatic. Have an Elevator in building B. Highly recommend This place and only 5min walk to the Beach. ATM is close and 7/11 and Familymart, also alot if restaurangs and some bars. Traffic is close so can be disturbing. Some rooms have balcony and some dont. If you need to rent motorbike they have.

Reviewed By AliaMarie14Katanoi beach is beautiful!! It’s less touristy, with beautiful sand and blue water. The beach is very clean and not as crowded or anywhere near as dirty as Patong beach. Worth taking the trip to chill out there for a day. Very relaxing and not many people there trying to sell you stuff. There is a bar on beach as well with cheap drinks and cocktails. Could spend all day there relaxing. One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen in Thailand. Highly recommend going.

Quiet in a busy Phuket
Reviewed By gumbynj1I had a spot right near the pool. While it was close to the restaurant, it wasn't too noisy. I liked the location - away from the crowded beach, but within walking distance. The only downside is the steep incline you need to walk in order to get to the hotel. Otherwise, I would highly recommend.
