Reviewed By kathrinw89We spent 9 days at this great Lodge. Best food we had in PNG! Excellent, freshly cooked vegetables, best fish curry ever and good meat dishes. Rich breakfast with good toast, fresh fruits, omelettes and more. Staff was very kind and helpful. They helped us organizing day trips and also a boat trip to an island nearby. It felt like a family after 9 days :) Rooms were very clean, well equipped and made up every day. Shared bathroom was as well very clean and they had a good water pressure. Laundry was free. They have built beautiful new rooms with bathroom.

Better than sleeping outside
Reviewed By John MThe only reason I didn't rate it "terrible" was because I wasn't the victim of criminality during my stay there. Thin mattress, air conditioning that does little other than to drip water on the floor. Communal laundry and bathroom facilities that I'm surprised I didn't catch a skin disease in. But still probably the best place in town.

A nice place to stay
Reviewed By Michael MI stayed here for two nights in May 2015. The town power had been off for a couple of months, so the electricity supply came from a generator, which was started up around 18h00 and kept on until around 24h00. This powered the air-conditioner in my room nicely. The room and attached bathroom were both very neat and clean, and came with a fridge, tea and coffee-making facilities, and a small packet of biscuits each day, a nice touch. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Breakfast and dinner were provided each day, with a choice from two or three main courses for dinner, plus a fruit platter. The porch outside the office, and the dining room, tended to draw guests together to meet in the late afternoon and evening. This was a nice place to stay, comfortable in an area where comfort is not that easy to provide: a credit to the staff.

Reviewed By niuginiwantokIt is located just 8 minutes walk to the shops. The place is popular for serving great food and the rooms are fully fitted with air condition and ceiling fans. Such great setting with very friendly staff.
