Also known as Noxie’s Place, this homely guesthouse is nestled amongst tropical gardens in a peaceful location in the heart of Kavieng. It is also just a few minutes drive from both the airport and wharf, and the perfect place to base yourself during your time in New Ireland Province. You’ll be looked after by our warm and friendly staff, meet some of our friendly pets (including a crocodile, parrots and a sea eagle) and enjoy home-cooked meals daily, including fresh seafood.
Great food, lovely people
Reviewed By FrequentTravellerNzI lived in Kavieng for a couple of years and Noxie's was renowned as a great place to go for always reliable and yummy food. Great for both groups and couples/solo; the staff are friendly and Noxie goes out of his way to make sure that everything is just right. If the opportunity presents itself, I recommend that you try it.

Reviewed By Lahui AComfortable beds, great atmosphere simple but great breakfast that's on the house, slow walking distance to the shops and market. The staff are friendly. If you are looking for somewhere quiet and down to earth but with all the basic amenities of any hotel, this is the place for you. Airport is only a very short 5 minute drive.

Village-style with comforts
Reviewed By jeanette952This small resort is located outside the main Kavieng town, in the middle of small communities of houses in the trioical bush, so it is quiet and one feels as if one is living in a beachside environment. I fell asleep to the sound of the surf pounding on the coral beach just across the road. The owners are very caring and considerate. My cabin was large, spotless and had excellent air con and hot water. It's the type of place where you receive individual service, including the on-site restaurant. The grounds are beautifully kept; you can go for a walk along the road, or cross the road and sit by the sea. A charming place that deserves support.
4. Bo Lodge
Bo Lodge is located in a beautiful spot on the outskirts of Namatanai. Listen to the birds in the morning, take a walk and appreciate the surrounding nature, plus enjoy home-cooked meals and rest your head in the newly built, timber-framed lodge designed with a traditional Papua New Guinean feel.

Very Friendly and very clean accomodation
Reviewed By Natalie BAlthough it is fairly basic, and at the time of my visit the TV didn't work (no network), the rooms and bathrooms were spotless; the air con was working and most of all the lady in charge was absolutely lovely. I left at 4.30am to get a plane and forgot my jacket in the room. The lady found it straightaway and drove to the airport to bring it back to me. At this stage they haven't organised for breakfast or dinner yet but they can get it from a near by restaurant and are very happy to go and pick it up and deliver. The prices are quite OK for PNG standard. They are getting WiFi for guest although I am not sure if it will be free!
