Friendly, Familary, Romantic Hotel! "Favorite host of Flanders." We are quietly situated in a beautiful wooded surrounding. We have 9 rooms, each with its own character and identity. All rooms have their own shower, toilet, telephone, colour TV and tea/coffee facilities. Half board is possible – Public Free Parking and private garage (for bicycles) – Bicycle hire available in advance (12€ a day). Discounts for groups and long term stays. Documentation packet on arrival (in English). •Conveniences for people with reduced mobility: one floor room •Situation: touristic site/country /nature/golf.
Way beyond our expectations
Reviewed By Jon_HemphillWe booked this hotel, a budget double and a double for single occupancy, as we were travelling to Genk to watch a football match. On line this place looked OK and was a great price for the two nights we needed. However when we got there it was way above our expectations. We were met at the door by the owner Ooslam who showed us the bar area, the breakfast and dining area and took us to our rooms. The rooms were absolutely great with new furniture wonderfully clean and well decorated and ample drawer and hanging space. The bathroom was a little small but it worked fine and was fitted with all you need including a good shower. On coming down for breakfast we were pleasantly surprised to see an array of wonderful food, cheeses, yoghurt, fresh pastries and breads and Ooslam was there to serve us coffee, and all this was included in the price - amazing As were there for the football, which finished late that night, Ooslam even organised a taxi for us. Nothing to do with her but more to do with the taxi service, they did not turn up to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We eventually got another taxi, but when Ooslam heard of our difficulties she immediately asked why we had not rang her as she said she would have come and picked us up - you cant get better service than that from your host. She was wonderful, as was the hotel, as was the food and as was the price (I actually think they should be charging more for what we got), all in all a great experience and we would definitely return and would recommend

We would love to welcome you to our family hotel De Klok! Hotel De Klok has been the starting point for over a hundred years for an active vacation in National Park Hoge Kempen. It is situated in the heart of Zutendaal. Zutendaal is located on the edge of National Park Hoge Kempen where over 5000 ha of meadows and forest is being protected and taken care of. It's the place to be for bicyclist and hikers. We provide information and maps of the area. The Lieteberg is on walking distance of the hotel. For a fun day of shopping or sightseeing the beautiful cities you can visit Hasselt, Maasmechelen Village, Maastricht (NL), Aken (D), Liege, Tongeren,... all in a 30 km radius. Welcome to the Klok.
Perfect stay
Reviewed By 488ilsedVery nice staff, nice and well equipped rooms, good breakfast. It was a very hot day and the rooms were equipped with airco which was very comfortable. There is coffee/thee available in the room as well as a fridge to keep personal things chilled. We had a drink on the nice terrace outside where we we served a very good South African white wine. Price/ quality we rate this hotel very good. Check-in & check-our went smoothly.

Strange hotel
Reviewed By keiths960The hotel was located on the edge of a forest - ideal for walkers and cyclists. There was good parking on site. The owner (by his own admission) was disorganised and chaotic. We arrived at 1700 hours and no rooms were yet available - still being cleaned. In the end, one did become available and we gained access. Rooms were basic but adequate. Good price but the hotel could be so much better and deserves to be. Not sure about any repeat business! Ideal for Maastricht though at a fraction of the cost. Breakfast on site was really good. No nearby restaurants so a trip to Genk was necessary
