Hostile Service and property in need of serious maintenance

Before I write about the property itself, if you are a Hilton member with diamond or gold status, do not expect your benefits to be honored here. Booking two rooms under a diamond and gold member accounts, breakfast was declined as free. The executive lounge is not open. They have an happy hour with 2 drinks on the menu and a beer, no real food offerings besides some left over pastries from breakfast, that is even though the property lists an executive lounge that is open on the Hilton website. The staff claimed the lounge is closed because of COVID, yet there are no COVID restrictions in place here and no cases at all. Furthermore, the lounge upon walking by looks like it hasn't been opened in many years. All the outdoor pools are closed as has been reported by other guests. The sole onsite restaurant is disgustingly dirty, see photos. The only pro is the beach is somewhat nice but it doesn't belong to Hilton therefore there's quite a bit of trash lying around. You can just as easily book a nearby cheaper hotel or apartment. The breakfast is worse than most Hamptons in China. Though the scale of the breakfast area makes it look like it serves a lot but the offering and food quality isn't much better if not entirely worse than a 2 or 3 star hotel. I can't say this is the worst Hilton I've been at in terms of overall property quality, sadly there' a few below it, but it is definitely the worst I've ever been treated at by the staff. Generally Hilton's have been extremely kind and caring, but here you get treated like a pest. There isn't much else around the property in walking distance, so if you are not driving, this is not the place to come to. Wifi doesn't work, make sure you have a good data plan. Property is in range of 5g towers getting 50-100 mbps.

Old hotel with unhelpful staff
Reviewed By MaimeepanhaaHotel is old. The floor of the hotel room is thick with dirt and has not been mopped for a long time. I have gotten many bites from the room. Staff were unhelpful at the front desk and also at the restaurant. We booked a private room for dinner and the staff serving is always not around. No towels, no changing of plates, the staff is only interested in when you can finished you meal so they can go home. Bad hotel and I will not stay again.

LOCATION ✔️Not exactly close to city center, but accessible by taxi within 10mins ✔️10 mins to Wenchang high-speed rail. CHECK-IN Lobby is decently opulent with no English spoken. Get your Baidu translator handy. ROOM: 13th floor Size: Very huge with a balcony.We stayed at Twin bedroom. Decor: Ceramic flooring, elegantly simple. Love the writing desk and chairs Bed : surprisingly not hard ! Clean sheets TV: flat-screen, local brand. No English channels Wifi: Yes but speed is a little slow. Hairdryer: Yes, but only 1000 watts! Better than none ! Slippers: Yes, Rubber slippers. Ventilation: Option of aircon or fan Toiletries: Yes, but I brought my own. Cleanliness: Acceptable Non-smoking: This is China. The guests simply do not care. It is pure luck if u get a room without the linger of cigarette smell. Even if you do, the lifts and corridors smell of cigarette. I bring my own air-fresheners and potpourri. BATHROOM Shower stall and WC is compartmentalised separately - excellent ! Towels : unfortunately......the supposedly white towels are yellowish. Glad I brought my own towel! BREAKFAST This is a local hotel. Though there is bread for toasting and some cakes, be prepared for local breakfast like congee and noodles soup. It is complimentary with the room rates. CONCLUSION For the price, it is worth every dime.
