Definitely a wonderful place to stay
Reviewed By Thomas2701We stayed at the hotel´s apartment house close by. Very spacious, clean, and extremely well equipped. What we loved most was the combination of the spacious place and all the amenities of the hotel (spa, access to the lake, and excellent dinners). Owners and staff were lovely and great with our children.

A very special place!
Reviewed By way2go07After staying in the Hotel Regitnig two years ago, we promised ourselves a return visit and what a joy it was to be back. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the village of Techendorf by the beautiful Weissensee, ideal for walking, cycling, swimming or boating on the lake. There were, of course, some changes. The new chalets are completed and look stunning, the tennis court is now an extra car park, the seating terrace has been extended and the fabulous See Spa with sauna at the lakeside is very impressive. The Eder family and the team at Regitnig should be proud of what they have achieved. The hotel has not lost any of its warm and friendly atmosphere and we immediately felt at home. We booked a 'Panorama Room' at the top of the hotel and the views (from both balconies!) were stunning. The room was spacious and stylish. The food was always to the highest standard, from the wide choice at the buffet breakfast to the excellent A la Carte menu in the evening. The Eder family - Irmgard, Hans Peter, Michael, Marcus and Thomas - were always around attending to the needs of their guests. The rest of the staff were all so friendly and smiling too. It was hard to leave such a wonderful place and we dream of returning again.

Reviewed By DragonautiluisFor our stay at the Weissenseerhof we have booked the "romantic package" bookable via their homepage. We will review about the sea spa and the hotel area itself separately. 1) Hotel On arrival we were first amazed by the overall atmosphere and the location. The room was very clean and bright and offered access to a balcony with view over the lake. Unfortunately not everything promised in the package was fulfilled. ( no rose petals on bed, no welcome drink, no candle light dinner accompanied by vine ) However, they offered to compensate for their mistakes with a free late checkout. Because we are non-alcoholics they offered us free non-alcoholic drinks instead of the vine to each dinner. Because we passed on the carriage ride they offered us a free boat tour across the lake. They did serve us breakfast in bed as promised. The service overall felt a bit chaotic and unorganised, with quite some waiting times at the first dinner. We did find out that the whole service team was new due to recent changes in ownership. 2 ) Spa-Area The spa is a one of its kind on the Weissensee and beautifully made. The service personal is very friendly and the kitchen-chef is open to individual request. ( e.g. He offered a special meal just for us ) Nevertheless the waiting times here were higher as well. We had some fantastic massages that were tailored to our needs. The wellness area is perfectly equipped and felt very inviting. Overall some things went wrong but they tried very much to compensate for their mistakes. We appreciated that everyone on the team is at least vegetarian too, which transferred into a high standard for the vegan/vegetarian philosophy throughout the hotel. We would recommend this hotel for vegetarians/vegans and would love to come here again.

Wonderful traditional Austrian vacation place
Reviewed By Gitay KWe came off-season, so not all the goodies the area has to offer were active, but the staff was very helpful and hospitable, and gave us the option to delay check-out a little to allow us to enjoy the attractions that were open. The proximity to the lake, the mountain bergbahn makes the location ideal for all sorts of vacationers, but most of all, for mountain lovers, MTB and hikers. There is even a dive center and e-bike rentals, but these are not active off-season.

The definition of serenity
Reviewed By JohnKate LMy wife and I spent the last two weeks of May staying in the Margarite apartment of Kamenhof, complete with wonderful lake views from our balcony. Overall the weather was really good and we alternated a lake day, mostly using the great ferry service to either take us somewhere to walk back or to return us after a walk, and an away day [always within one hour] into the Dolomites or other lakes. Car hire wasn't that easy to find and we picked one up in Villach on the way out. The meadows are in full display and the colours stunning. The lake colours are the most beautiful greeny blues and the lake itself is dotted with fishermen in their small boats. As one poster said ...'listen to the silence'. If insects concern you ... no problem here at all. So what of Kamenhof itself. Petra and Stefan are great hosts, helpful, unassuming and expert. Stefan actually works in the tourist office. We chose not to have the breakfasts and be completely self catering but it was clear that other guests were having a great one, usually on the lawn overlooking the lake. The apartment was comfortable, spotless and fully provisioned. Everything is provided and bedding/towels regularly changes. We wondered whether we should have booked one week but two is right. When [not if] we return, if we have to book one week we'll forgo the car as there is so much walking using the ferry and [free] chairlift. There is a small private beach and access to bicycles and rowing boats. The pictures of it in winter with the lake frozen is something else! An absolutely wonderful place to stay, both Kamenhof and Weissensee. We love the meadows and relative quiet so May was perfect. A real discovery.

Healthy living in a wooden house, sustainable in the main house - the original farmhouse of the family or completely luxurious in the house under the earth with 100% lake view. Private beach just 5 minutes walk away. Wellness area, fish pond, natural garden and much more.
Pleasant stay near lake
Reviewed By janip69We have stayed in apartment within the main building. It is quite large and offers enough space for the family with parents and 2 grown up children. In the same building is sauna with large relaxation area and water massage machine. The house is located near tha lake, next to the house is a road antd the sidewalk which leads to the center. There is also a large free of charge parking place in front of the house.

Winter wonderland
Reviewed By kominnaard11091963One week stay late Jan early Feb 2022 when normally the 11 City ice skate ride is organised. Stayed with two couples during the Covid restrictions. Absolutely fine in all aspects. The rooms were fabulous with large and beautiful bathroom. Balcony facing East, very nice furniture and good beds. The breakfast and dinner were simply top of the bill, a fixed 4 course evening dinner but with always a choice between two for every course, the choice normally made during breakfast. Nice spa/sauna although not used by us and separate building where ski and bicycles can be stored. We had a lovely week, thank you to the family and crew.

Very welcoming family hotel
Reviewed By hicsicutbonusmilesOur family was well looked after by the Domenig family. We found the hotel clean, comfortable and well situated. The half board meals and breakfasts are wholesome and substantial - for instance there is a salad buffet and choice of soups and desserts. We recommend it for family and budget travellers.

Reviewed By LDITnusGreetings, We took an apartment with a beautiful view on the lake. Everything was fantastic - a room, breakfast, kitchenette and the owner of the place. The bus station just infront of the entrance door.Very much recommended.
