Reviewed By gwwyjjliuLovely older hotel with oddly shaped, charmingly dated rooms. Clean and well kept rooms feature comfortable beds, plenty of power outlets, and solid furniture. Friendly service throughout from a family-run operation. Breakfast featured cold cuts, fresh rolls, cereals, and eggs cooked to order. The restaurant is one of the best in town, excellent food and attentive service in a warm atmosphere that encourages socializing. Located on the edge of the little town of Waldenbuch, there are several lovely restaurants within a few minutes walk, as well as the famous Ritter Sport chocolate museum and factory store.

Reviewed By Oscar38640Ein echter "Geheimtipp". Die Zimmer sind normal eingerichtet, die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Gaststube ist urig eingerichet. Die Speisekarte kann man hoch und runter essen. Jeden Tag gibt es ein leckeres Tagesgericht. Die Qualität lässt keine Wünsche über.

Spacious rooms and friendly owner
Reviewed By skiblumsWe had a triple room in the corner of the building. The owner is very welcoming and was very happy to provide breakfast for me at 6.15am and at 8.15am for the rest of my family. Breakfast consisted of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, jam, nutella and bread rolls. She also brings you a soft boiled egg. The room was very clean. Liquid soap was provided, but no shampoo. We have stayed here about 4 times over the last few years. The old town of Waldenbuch has a selection of restaurants and bars and a Chinese/Italian/Indian take away place.

Unfair, um nicht zu sagen „Abzocke“!
Reviewed By WS_79585Am 07.01.2019 um ca. 16:15 Uhr hatte ich das Alte Forsthaus für eine Woche über HRS (255 Euro) gebucht. Ca. eine Stunde später wollte ich die Buchung stornieren. Frau N. vom Alten Forsthaus war nicht bereit, auf Kulanzbasis oder zu einer reduzierten Stornogebühr die Reservierung zu stornieren. Ich musste 85 % des Übernachtungspreises bezahlen. Auch wenn ich es nachwievor als nicht fair betrachte, musste ich die Forderung akzeptieren. Frau N. hatte einem befreundeten Unternehmer mitgeteilt, dass sie trotz meiner Absage komplett ausgebucht wäre. Auch über den Zeitrsum der geplanten Buchung war es nicht möglich, z. B. über HRS ein Zimmer zu buchen. Auch wenn Frau N. Immer noch behauptet, nicht komplett ausgebucht gewesen zu sein, kann ich es nicht glauben!
