Reviewed By Alison FWe visited Colombia and this excellent birding lodge in March 2022 with Diche Mideros of Photo Wild Life Tours ( Ecuador) We were made very welcome by Carlosmario and his wife at Glamping El Color de mis Reves. We left our car in a secure location and Carlosmario drove us up a crazy mountain route across a fast flowing stream to his place. What fun . Colombia can be cold away from the coast and so we wrapped up warm with plenty of layers . We were high in the mountains , it was magical.Clean fresh air and beautiful views of the mountains and surrounding fields ,A great escape from crowds and busy roads of the cities. Carlosmario is famous among bird watchers for his unique connection with toucans . He calls and they come to feed and pose while we take great photos. We saw a lot of other birds too including hummingbirds . This is a place for lovers of birds and the great outdoors. The hospitality is a joy. Do wrap up , take your thermals . Toucans like cool weather .and enjoy this special place

BioHaus is a brand new eco house made out of recycled shipping containers and local recyclable materials. We offer private suites as well as shared bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. The airport (La Nubia) and the main bus station are less than 5 minutes away.

Reviewed By DBankTuluaVery unique place. You have everything you need, clean and comfortable. Surrounded by nature. Lots of things to do such as hiking, biking. Pizzeria and cafe are a must try! Federico and Sol are the best tour guides. Un lugar único. Tienes todo lo que necesitas, es limpio, cómodo. Rodeado de naturaleza. Muchas cosas para hacer: bicicleta, caminar, entre otros. Debes probar la pizzería y cafe. Federico y sol son los mejores guías.

Total relaxation and lovely welcome in tropical climate
Reviewed By Gwylan2013We arranged to stay at Hacienda el Jardin because we wanted to have a relaxing time in Colombia, mixed with an experience of local culture and excellent coffee - what we got was all of this and more! From the moment we arrived we felt at home, as everything was catered for and arranged. There are plenty of paths on the majestic landscape to wander and take leisurely early morning or evening strolls. If you prefer a more active holiday the owners (who speak English), provide excursions to locations in the local area and beyond. We did hiking, a visit to the local village, horse riding and coffee tasting, and there are many more to choose from! Delicious local food was cooked and transport was planned on time - it was easy to get there from the airport. My highlight was waking up every morning, having a locally grown coffee and looking out onto the plantations - so different from what we have in the UK! All in all, an incredible experience and we are sure to be back. Thank you to the family!

Reviewed By A5948UValejandrovBueno pues la verdad es que he ido varias veces y cada vez está de mal en peor, al principio la atención era buena, tampoco excelente, pero con el tiempo se volvieron toscos y casi me atrevería a decir que perezosos, no tienen a alguien que reciba, es como si no supieran llevar un negocio de atención al público. El sitio en el que está ubicado es bueno por el lugar en si y por la vista pero lastimosamente para llegar hay que pasar por un barrio no muy bueno, lo cual conlleva a que en las noches y peor aún si es fin de semana a que haya mucho ruido de música de cantina o reggaeton lo cual es todo lo contrario a lo que uno va cuando quiere acampar. El precio está bien, no abusa. El lugar era mucho mejor antes, en especial la zona de camping, ahora no sé qué hicieron pero casi no hay espacio para las carpas, si vas con una grande, dificilmente encuentres un buen sitio. En fin, si no tienes mucho dinero es una buena opción ya que puedes ir en bus y caminar el resto sin mucho problema.
