Rude Overrated
Reviewed By 374jaimefUpon arrival wasn’t acknowledged by doorman nor receptionist Sebastian. Was giving an incorrect room, after speaking to Ana (I believe that’s her name) who was very friendly she showed her colleague the error but I can hear him not really caring but she corrected it to the best of her ability. I go to the new room and the balcony door was hanging off it’s hinges. Go back downstairs and spoke with Sebastian who didn’t care, was rude and said “but it didn’t hit you.” when I saw it almost did. Showed him the pictures and he said that’s how it is here at this hotel because of some previous guest who had a cat jump out. Well a cat can still jump out the way this is set up. I only came to this hotel because my friends had their fashion show here the previous night and they recommended it. I’ve been to Cali more than a dozen times and will return but not to this hotel.

Reviewed By 489bibianajThe rooms and other areas of the hotel were clean. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Breakfast had lots of variety and the servers were very attentive. The location of the hotel is the most amazing feature, there is a feeling of security and you are able to enjoy shopping.

Not enough food at 10 a.m.
Reviewed By azane1109The building is too old, dark and very humid to accommodate people and come some bad smells from the toilet. And you should be early at the restaurant otherwise you don't get enough food at breakfast buffet other than just fruits. Its price is very reasonable but don't try to stay at this hotel when celebrating your anniversary. If so, your wife will be definitely disappointed.

Reviewed By workhyeokThis is my second time in the Hotel Spirito by Spiwak. I had to come back again because of the perfection that this hotel has. And this time, I am already staying like two months. And I brought all my workers to rest in this hotel. It is amazing place for vacation, and at the same time, perfect place for business. It has good Wifi, atmosphere is fresh, interior design is very nice, room is very clean, fitness center is well prepared, swimming pool is well made with the food delivery service, breakfast has variety of foods with freshness, and the staffs are attentive and passionate. Especially the manager Mr. Gustavo is always willing to help in anything I need with full of his passion. He is not just passionate but professional in serving the visitor. Because of his kindness and profession and passion, I will definitely come back here. I would recommend this hotel to all of my people.

Nice location but not great experience
Reviewed By darbyi2017our stay here started about 3 days before we actually arrived with an email stating that our suite we had booked was actually not available any longer. Fine, annoying but the room we got was going to save us some money so, fine. Arrived late at night and the front desk person did not speak very understandable Spanish for two people who are not native speakers but know a lot of Spanish. Our "best room other than the suite" was not nice. It was plain and worn out with no notable 5 star amenities (or even 3 star for that matter). Thankfully we were only there a couple of nights. The outside terrace bar area is the best part of the hotel due to its ambiance but it could use some more options as the drinks were limited.

For the money it was fine
Reviewed By scottrB969AZWas a little surprised, thought it would be a higher end hotel since this is the tallest building in Cali. Felt like a budget hotel in the US. Cleanliness was good, the room was very large, just everything felt like it was from the 1970s. Staff at the reception desk were curt, rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone warned me about the danger of Cali, but I walked around the area and did a little shopping without any incident. For the price it's a good deal, I felt very secure in the hotel. The Colombians all thought it was expensive, it was less than $30/night with breakfast, just a spot for a tent at KOA is $56 in Sonoma County.

Amazing value for the price
Reviewed By carlckcarlNH Cali Royal is a high quality hotel although the price is very accessible and much lower that one would expect. The bedroom was very large and comfortable. I slept perfectly every night 5 star hotel room at 3 star prices. The restaurant staff are amazing and helpful at all times. This applies to the front desk staff as well. The only negative thing was that the safe in my room was unuseable. I reported this but no one fix it during my stay. There was also a large crack in one of the windows.

My magical house features traditional architecture and is located right in the heart of San Antonio, historic district of Cali, opposite old church, big park and enjoys some of the best views over Cali. The place is very spacious, yet quiet and cozy with lots of tropical plants and benefits from lovely afternoon breezes. We are a short walk from many theatres, restaurants, cafés, bars, nightclubs, dance and language schools. Whilst you have plenty of options for eating out around, if you prefer to cook there are two fully equipped kitchens and plenty of places to sit down and enjoy a meal. Although it’s a large home, it is also quiet and relaxed. Once the door closes behind you it’s hard to believe you’re in the heart of such a vibrant place.
A Place For Lovers
Reviewed By SteveJay108The San Antonio section of Cali oozes with charm, and the Magic Garden House is a great place to stay. This guest house is run by a wonderful couple who really make you feel like you're guests in their home. The included breakfast is first rate as is the panoramic view from the dining area. I met a traveler who has been staying there for months and it's easy to see why. Each room has a laundry bag and although I wasn't there long enough to accumulate a wash I'm told cleaning your clothes is included in the (very) reasonable room rates. The ceiling fans are more than sufficient to keep you cool. The wifi is about the best I've seen in Colombia and I've been to all of the country's major cities. Regrettably, I had to leave early and the proprietors we're very good about that. All in all, the Magic Garden House is a very good value.
