Reviewed By LarryE183For our two week trip and half a dozen hotels, the staff and room was the best of all the hotels we visited with the exception of the restaurant and pool being closed temporarily. The walking trails and proximity to the Bird and wild life sanctuary is a nice bonus.

The hotel is the closest to Valemount Bike park and extends a warm welcome to outdoor adventurists and makes you feel right at home. This newly renovated ECO Friendly Super 8 is located on highway 5 and 5th Avenue and offers easy access to fishing, lakes, snowmobiling, ATV trails, rafting, biking options and BBQ facilities after a full day of adventure in the mountains. Vacancy is few and far between AND, prices are almost double because of the workers. Super 8 is typically $99 a night but is now $199 + tax because of this. Hotel is clean and upgraded. Bed and pillows are comfy. Rooms have a small bar fridge and microwave. There is a basic/light breakfast included.

Outstanding Service!
Reviewed By hadrad15I have stayed here several times as a stop over in the drive between BC and Alberta and it is exactly as advertised. Best Value. It's quiet, clean, close to anything you might need and most importantly, the staff are excellent. I left behind several items of value in the room and not only were they able to recover the items but they held onto them for me so that I could pick them up a week later on my way home. Outstanding!

Reviewed By U8754TZdaniellebThis was our 3rd stay at valemount, we have always had a good experience at this hotel However we had a family emergency and requested to leave a day earlier but made it clear that If the room rate would still be charged we would just stay one more day but if it was possible to leave with out a fee we would like to get on the road and go home. The attendant assured us there would be no charge and that he would reimburse our card. We were then told that they were having issues with their machine and the manager would personally contact us. Danny Choi the manager never contacted us as they promised, the did not return our call until later that afternoon and said they were looking into things still. The next we called and they said they had to wait until the banks were open. Today they have not answered any of our phone calls and have no made any attempts to call us. We are still out $280 and are very upset at how this has been handled. We will not be staying there again and would not recommend this hotel to family or friends

Toe nail clippings?
Reviewed By Debra NWe arrived and immediately questioned our choice. The town is over run with Trans Mountain Pipeline workers so not much choice in making another room purchase that same evening, let alone a month hence, so we were stuck with a filthy parking lot; no real place to park; and upon entering the room, we immediately spied the heap of toenail clippings in between the beds. The management was notified and the remedy was to re “swiffer” the room floor. Toe nails still there. As well, a photo of the towel I used to mop the bathroom floor after the “cleaning”, and although I won’t post it here, it is disgusting. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I absolutely had to. Yuck.

Reviewed By Horseygirl08After reading the bad reviews, I was concerned, but this was the only place available that takes dogs. However, it's clean, comfortable and has good a/c. Beds and pillows are comfy. Perfectly fine for a stopover encounter to Prince George.

Didn't Stay But Appreciated The Tour
Reviewed By Brett_HornbyI want to give thanks to the guy who worked at the main desk on Thanksgiving Day weekend. Didn't get his name but said he was from Calgary like myself. I've gone to the Robson Valley over a dozen times in the past decade and kept hearing and seeing advertisements about the Terracana Ranch Resort. Even keep driving by it when I've stayed in McBride and see a big sign outside Valemount. Said to myself one of these times I'll check it out as I thought there was a museum as I thought the sign saying Artisan meant that. As I came upon the site on Thanksgiving Day and went inside the main lobby. I was greeted and probably gave him something to do as there was no reservations when I came. I came just to check it out and thought there was a museum as well which there wasn't. However I was gladly given a tour of the main building from the dining hall, looking at the Fraser River views and the older style games room in the basement. Also appreciated all the older artificats that I took pictures of. Being from Calgary and it's known for its western heritage and hospitality. The ranch building felt like the old west and home. Of course we talked about the cabins and shared stories in the Robson Valley. Did mention it's busier in the winter for snowmobilers so autumn was a slower time of year after the summer. It was a great visit without staying overnight and kinda got what I was seeking in an unexpected way as I thought there was a museum. Would consider booking a stay if budget allows one year I visit the Robson Valley but I want management to give thanks for the tour. Was a nice surprise visit and the views are great in the area.

Reviewed By Bobby1802We spent only one night there, but liked the place a lot. A small number of cabins build in a circle -with barbecue on deck as well as a fire-pit - around a lawn. App. 2,5 km from downtown Valemount and in the "woods"- but you are pretty fast in town if you want to. If you like to wake up with birds and see deer etc. and enjoy nice mountain views, this is your place. The cabin is in very good shape, offers all amenities, kitchen, incl. fridge and an electrical fireplace which can be easily lit. Separate living room with TV and a separated bedroom make it a comfortable place to stay in. Owners are very nice. We could have spent some days more here. I find it also a perfect place for kids as there is no road and they have enough room to play and explore.
