Don't be fooled by its simplicity - True luxury and amazing views!!

Reviewed By LuxuriousTravelOnly

This hotel has the most unassuming facade, but inside it's just a hidden jewel waiting to be discovered... from it's overwhelming 5 story waterfall backdrop near the reception to the incredible restaurant and gym on the 5th floor with sweeping views of Ungasan forests and the beach. We were given the Royale Presidential suite at this hotel when Mr. Yusmita (Yus) found out that it was our 25th wedding anniversary!! Hotelier par excellence…. He made our stay truly memorable with all the fabulous arrangements. True respect for the Sheraton brand for making a $1000 a night suite available to us for the price of a regular room just out of respect for our loyalty and to help us make our special occasion memorable. The empathy and care displayed by Mr. Yus was so infectious… he had informed his entire staff all across the property to treat us like royalty and so everywhere we went we were greeted by name and each member of staff was willing to go out of their way to make every minute of our stay exceptional. There was a guy called Pasek who brought our luggage to our suite and gave us the tour of the massive Presidential suite…. His sense of humour and dramatics were exceptional as he had something extertaining to say about each area of the suite including the Jacuzzi area, the dining area, the living area, the romantic four poster bed setup, and the incredible views from the balcony. He allowed us to video record his commentary and the hilarious presentation as he walked us around…. Such a homely, down to earth ambiance without any artificial pretense of luxury that one finds at snooty chains like Amandari, Oberoi, or Four Seasons. We were treated like King and Queen. The views, the gym, the restaurant, are all excellent. We got an amazing spa treatment from Tri, an exceptional massage therapist. She has been trained at Soneva Fushi in the Maldives and it truly shows!! Soneva Fushi costs $5000 a night and to have such talent at this hotel where a standard room is less than $100 is just mindboggling. We will be back here again and again!

A beautiful property that had to endure the pandemic effect

Reviewed By 274marshaf

Bali in general is affected badly by the pandemic, and that is visible at this hotel. I'll start with the pros. Pros: + Our sunrise villa was huge and the sunrise was very beautiful. + Helpful staff despite the difficult situation. + Very spacious bedroom, bathroom, and lounge area beside your very own private pool, also with outdoor bathtub that didn't lack privacy. + No buffet, but a la carte breakfast was good complete with fruit, juices, toast everyday. We also got floating breakfast. + We were on our honeymoon so we liked the quietness. Cons: - It's at the very end of small streets, a bit hidden from the main road and gets dark at night. I wouldn't want to ride motorcycle by myself at night. I don't recommend staying here if you go out a lot. - They cut back on facilities because of COVID-19: no shuttle, no cable TV, no netflix, no sandals unless you ask, no welcome fruit. - Apparent signs of low maintenance i.e. alley full of leaves, bath tub was not cleaned when we arrived, some odor when you open the drawer (maybe because of lack of guests) Judging from the reviews here, I think it wasn't as good as what it used to be. But they also had to cut on manpower and maintenance to survive, so it's justified. Hopefully COVID-19 is over soon and Bali comes back alive again :)

Amazing private pool villa

Reviewed By ToonTowner

My wife and I stayed at the Jumana Bali Ungasan Resort for six nights in May of 2022. Would I recommend this resort to a friend? Yes. Would I stay their again knowing what I know now about the resort? Yes! We had a 1 bedroom king cliff side pool villa. It had unobstructed views of the ocean and the beach below. No other villas could see into our villa’s garden or pool area. It was very private and secluded. Which we loved. It was also walking distance from the restaurant which made it nice. The infinity pool was amazing. The bedroom sliding glass patio doors opened directly into the pool. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our villa was very clean and modern. It was so big it actually had to have 2 wi-fi networks. We opted for the breakfast and supper packages with our villa. I don’t think I would do that again. Breakfast is a huge buffet and I simply don’t eat that much for breakfast. As for the 3 piece supper plan, I would just go a la carte as the set menu includes dessert which I also generally do not eat. However, the hotel is 5star so the prices at the restaurant are 5star prices ($$$). Not getting the dining options also also you to go out and enjoy local restaurants too. If you found my review helpful please let me know by giving me a Thumbs Up.

It's a new hotel in Ungasan. Everything looks new and clean of course. Staffs were helpful and nice. Pool is small but enjoyable. I booked pool access room. There are parking spaces for motorbike and a few cars. Didn't try the food though. Quiet and peaceful when I stayed there. Totally recommended if you plan to stay and explore Jimbaran/Uluwatu area.

Housekeeping is speedy and efficient We only had breakfast and to be honest the evening meals didn't sound exciting - but there are plenty of good places nearby. Shuttle bus to the beach but it's cheap to get a taxi too
