Reviewed By podmanigaThe castle hotel has been renovated before. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, clean and well maintained. During the renovation, what was left of the past has been preserved. (We were in the castle building.) The basement wellness area is satisfactory in all respects. The staff is very polite, the food and drink supply and the kitchen are excellent. (Drink prices aren’t cheap.) Anyone who loves calm and quiet will find it here.

The restaurant offers fantastic local specialties like the trout, wild goulash and many more. If you wish to stay at this place ask for an off road tour with the owner. Incredible experience!!! You sit in an army-like Steyr Puch Mercedes off road jeep and Daniel drives you into the mountains of muddy roads, creeks and forest. You will never found to forget it!

Fancy and little costly
Reviewed By 912_gneseIt was a nice 2 nights/3 days vacation, everything looks beautiful and prime. Our bed was big enough but the mattress too soft for my back so it cause some back pain by the morning but this is my personal issue only :) the breakfast and the sinner what we have had was buffet service, wide selection of hot and cold food as well, we were more than satisfied with the taste , but pay attention of your drinks that is not included in your room price so you will be charged for that. Not a negative thing just good to know :) They have only outside pool where you can swim so if the weather is cold you can enjoy only the inside jacuzzi with several saunas, healthcare rooms and the fish pedicure (picture added ;) ) last one is around 8 dollars. The location of the hotel is really good, you are right on the edge of Szalajka valley where you can have a 1-2 hours of trip in the woods, following the stream. All in all everything was enjoyable I just felt like for these services and rooms I can pay less in a different 3-4* hotel but it depends on your budget of course :) Thank you for the hotel for that 2-3 days.

Cheap, inside of Bukke National park
Reviewed By CroybossYou get what you pay for, so even though the toilet seat was loose, towels and toilet paper rough, and the toilet water iffy, the free wifi and close proximity to Bukke National Park made it perfect for those on a budget. We believe we were the only ones there. Walls are thin so probably would have heard others. No free breakfast. It was $30 (in HUF) for two for a night.

Reviewed By Adam SIt’s a very modern designed small hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable for two. If you visit them, you have to choose the room number 27. It has an own sauna inside. The owner is one of the most friendliest I’ve ever seen. The weakest point is the breakfast. The restaurant is too small for all the people who stays there.

Reviewed By Zoltán BHangulatos panzió igényesen kialakítva mind a közös terek mind a szoba. A tulajdonos nagyon kedves és segítőkész, a reggeli kívánságra készül, minden igényt kielégít. A szoba hangulatos, a fürdőszoba szép. Panziohoz képest szokatlanul szép az egész. Nagyon elégedettek voltunk.

A very hospitable and cozy pension in the centre of the beautiful Bukk Mountains of Hungary in the place Szilvasvarad. Beside rooms the pension has a lot to offer: a large swimming pool, horse riding facilities, mountain-bikes, motor tours, cozy bar and various barbecue facilities.

Reviewed By Jan SMotorbike is obviously the passion of the owner of this bed and breakfast/camp in Szilvasvarad.It is furnished in that way and has its own style.The overall atmosphere is chill out and very friendly.You feel as a part of family.We had a huge room in the top floor of one of the buildings.There is a garden with a pool ,and there are horses,donkeys,rabbits and chicken so kids can be pretty occupied there.There is also a wine cellar where you can take beers and wines and simply sign how many bottles you had.In our building there was also well equipped kitchen so it was easy to fix the breakfast or dinner there. It is situated in the middle of the village so you need to walk for about 20 minutes to reach the main attractions but it is a nice stroll. I would definitely stay there again.

Reviewed By Jon02011What a fantastic location with really nice rooms! The owner was super and has thought of everything when it comes to keeping his customers happy. The whole property is clean and modern. We had our 3 1/2 month old with us and had free use of a travel cot which was great. Just along the road are walking trails to the waterfall and the hill top viewing point. The scenery was magnificent. We will be going again soon I hope!
