Reviewed By ChristineT2568I stayed here for almost a week. Good location. The room was cozy except for the fact that I could hear the rooms next door air conditioner every time it was turned on. Kinda frustrating as I enjoyed having my back door open for fresh air. It was noisy. My room was right next to the lobby. It’s nice that the hotel has so much space to relax and gather, but this became frustrating for me as I could hear most groups talking at all hours of the day/night. I was also right next to the restaurant seating. The tv in this area was often turned way up in the morning at 6 am. And I could hear people dining and their conversations. I wasn’t real impressed with their buffet breakfast that was included in the high room rates. They served mostly white carbs drenched in oil. Fried rice, fried noodles, French toast. They did have fresh fruit, which I made sure to get enough of. But the buffet breakfast was usually very greasy and low quality food. As Sumbawa does not participate with Gojek or Grab, there is no food delivery. And there is no food within walking distance, so I had to rely on the hotel restaurant which had good food, just a bit pricey. The hotel has drivers and car rental, but I found my own tour as the hotel’s was a bit expensive as well.

Reviewed By LMilichBooked a room with twin beds but that one was occupied, so the owners immediately set up a second queen-sized mattress in the room we were given. And even with that emplaced, there was plenty of space remaining. The bathroom is spotless with a western-style toilet, there's a small balcony to sit outside, the a/c works well, and the wifi is excellent. Why not 5 stars then? No hot water for showers, but the "cold" water is hardly cold, in fact. There's no breakfast with the room, but you can order one separately for a very modest sum. There is food available onsite, though there's a place that makes excellent cap cay a short walk away, out the main gate, right, right, and right again - it's shortly before you get to Indomart on the left side of the road, next to the barber's. The bed(s) are very comfortable, by the way, and you're guaranteed a good night's sleep because there are no mosques in the immediate vicinity.

Reviewed By Haggard_TravelerWhat a wonderful surprise! Far from the crowds of popular tourist areas, Pulau Moyo is undeveloped, unpretentious, and untainted. This is Indonesia at its best. Pulau Moyo is a delight in and of itself, but staying at Maryan Moyo provided an extra special experience. Moyo Bungalows has a lovely setting, directly on the beach, with a very efficient and organized manager, Firman, who is eager to please. Firman, who seems to take on every role at the guesthouse, went out of his way to make us at home and to prepare food that would delight our tastebuds. My husband enjoyed fresh grilled fish every evening for 5 days, each night with a different sauce. I enjoyed a variety of vegetarian options that were all delicious and freshly prepared. There is a lovely seating area, directly on the beach, that is great for breakfast or for relaxing in the evening with a cold coconut water in hand. The sunsets are to die for! Excellent snorkeling is possible just in front of the bungalows with pristine coral and beautiful fish. I can't wait to go back!

Reviewed By DaBeneDespite its natural beauty and welcoming people Sumbawa Besar is still an underdeveloped tourist destination - I arrived with low expectations. Hotel Relatively apathetic reception. A cluster of aged bungalows waiting for an urgent overhaul and cleanup. Working A/C. Low pressure calcified shower head requiring patience and accuracy. Simple breakfast. Cheap. Beach Beautiful location. Exceptionally clean water. The beach is littered with plastic and glass - despite best efforts by a few intrepid Sisyphean souls who try to achieve a modicum of cleanliness. Would be a tourist magnet if managed with a little heart and discipline. Ok as stopover whilst touring islands.
