This hotel is located right on Lake Forggensee, 5 miles from the center of Fussen. It offers country-style rooms and a terrace with a panoramic view of the Allgau Alps. The Alpine-style rooms at Landhotel Schwarzenbach are simply furnished with a bathroom and shower, and some rooms also include a balcony. Wi-Fi is available in the whole hotel. A buffet breakfast is served each morning, from 07:30 to 09:30 a.M., At the Schwarzenbach. The traditional restaurant also offers Bavarian specialties and international dishes. The surrounding Allgau countryside is ideal for hiking, cycling, golf and winter sports. Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle are a 15-minute drive away. On-site parking is free at Schwarzenbach Landhotel.

Reviewed By Jurgen2305The hotel is located beautifully at the foot of the Bavarian Alps, overlooking the Forggensee and the fairytale castle Neuschwanstein. Our stay was made particularly pleasant by the very friendly staff who went out of their way to help with anything that we needed. A perfect short stay to celebrate my father's 80th birthday !

Reviewed By YablonskiThis is an odd property not operated like a traditional hotel. The grounds of this lodge are quite pleasant and it is a waterfront property. It offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains from the yard and from some of the rooms. However, we were unable to complete our stay at this property because it was not clear it is a three-story walk-up property with no elevator. There is no front desk at this low-service concept but the proprietor communicated well with us prior to arrival and left a key in a drop outside the building. Another surprise when we arrived was that up to three rooms may share a single common bathroom on the third floor. Because these important details were unclear from the listing, we were unable to complete our stay but our card was charged 130+ Euros just the same. We booked another room on another lake in a nearby town for the same price inclusive of breakfast. There may be some lovely rooms with private facilities. We don't know. Buyer beware if you require an elevator and bathroom privacy. READ THE FINE PRINT. DON'T BE SURPRISED. It's our desire that the proprietor update the various booking websites to make these facts clear to future guests. This was not what we expected. We were impressed with the great reviews but sadly our experience was terrible due to mismanaged expectations.

Clean B&B with friendly owner
Reviewed By Reisender4631After a lot of rain we ended our camping trip early and book the Dreimaederlhaus last minute on the day. We had a nice welcome and been show around the place. We stayed in a 5 bed room on the top floor which was clean and spacious. The only downside we had alot of blood and dead moscitos on the wall which could get wiped off. Breakfast was plenty and fresh rolls and amazing coffee

But the worst thing was the way we were treated by the inpolite staff of the hotel, they treated us like common thieves, chasing us, when we tried to leave the hotel before check out, just to go and get our tickets for the castle and return for breakfast (we had left our children sleeping in the room). Awful behavior. I wish I had read the responses of the owner to negative comments of some guests, offensive and full of irony. An experience I would like to forget.

Reviewed By roadslesstravelledSpent only two nights in one of the self-catering apartments with a friend and three dogs. The hosts Uschi and Andi are easy going and helpful. (Thank You again for the “later checkout” without charges ? ??!!) The whole place is neat and clean and the perfect place if you travel with your dog as it is located close to the lake and perfect for the “quick evening stroll “. From the balcony you have a good view over the Foggernsee and the Neuschwanstein castle in the mountains. Will definitely come back next year. Danke und bis bald! Anja, Peter & der Hundetrupp ?
