The hotel was also very good, we stayed for 6 nights starting from the 3th of January. The hotel is very clean. 2 big parking places, a lot of cars can park. Very close to the Center (Stadt Platz) - where the skibus is leaving.

Really wonderful two days in Radstadt
Reviewed By jurca_familyWe are family of four, oft travelers and we really write a review. But this hotel deserves a review. We had a really wonderful two days at Gundlers hotel. Hotel offers whatever you could imagine. Although room was not new, it was very spacious, bright and ultra clean. Hotel has excellent spa and pool area with astonishing view on fortress and old town. Spa is practically new and not much in use by other guest. Thus our kids enjoyed the pool as the only guest while we were enjoying sauna area. Hotel has good location. 5 minutes walk to old town and 7 minutes drive to first ski slope. We are average skiers and we found Radstadt/Altenmarkt ski area perfect for us. Very well prepared, wide and long pists. We were a bit surprised by the price of tickets which are cca 10-15% higher then in similar ski resorts but qulity of pists is worth it...On top it was sunny weather thus there were perfect ski days. We had half board package and I consider it good value for money. Breakfast is served in restaurant with nice view over old town on ski slopes while dinner is served in special "old style" restaurant. Very nice experience. Our kids are fussy eaters but in this restaurant we had no issue. All meals were delicious, portions were even to big (might be the case that due to the fact in next days the winter season would end and hotel to close the door till summer season). I need to expose personnel as well. Late check in was not a problem, Patrick from reception was very open and friendly. He opened sauna area earlier before working hours...David from "old style restaurant" gave attention to each and every guest and had no issues with our special requests. All in all, really wonderful two days in Radstadt. Thank you Grundlers team.

Reviewed By Penny WThe staff are so friendly and food excellent. My husband has some restrictions on what he can eat and the team were marvellous very accommodating. Breakfast is also very good - one would never go hungry! Renate and team makes sure that the rooms are clean and there is always a plentiful supply of hot water. Our third trip and looking forward to going again. Very close to the shops and ski bus stops yet quiet.

Hotel in the nature
Reviewed By Victor GHotel really close to the mountains, nature and animals. It is a fantastic hotel to stay with family and couples if you want yo disconnect from crowded cities. The owner, his family and his dogs are really welcome people. Totally recomended, mainly after ski season when prizes are affordable.

Hosts very helpful in pointing out excellent places to see and places to eat. Fantastic breakfast to kick off the day. Looking forward to visiting again!

Advertising is not always true, but reality can be nice

There is no balcony . (The price is the same as the panorama room.) There is no mini fridge, no minibar, but there are strange-looking guests in the basement playroom that sound loud at midnight. Doesn't matter. The owner family is really very kind. The food is delicious. The hotel is in a great location. What's the lesson? Advertising is not always true, but reality can be beautiful.

Highly recommend. Close to ski resorts and super market to stock up on food. Kitchen to use if needed. Great stay.

Haus Susanne is a guest house that offers a large self-catered rental for up to 14 people. Haus Susanne also offers bed and breakfast accommodation by the room on request. All of the sleeping accommodation is on the top floor of the property with access to a 70 square meter roof terrace overlooking the Alpine mountains and valleys. The house has 5 bedrooms all with private WC and Shower facilities. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cater for large groups and there is a dining room to serve food. Haus Susanne also has an outside dining area with a grill/barbecue. The lounge and play room is a great place to cook off in the summer as it is on the lower floors. The garden is large and spacious with a playing area with swings and slides, a trampoline and table tennis. There is also plenty of room to play a little football or even cricket!
Somewhere truly special
Reviewed By NickyJ_HantsThis is the first time we have stayed in a truly independent Catered Chalet, to be fair there don’t seem to be many of them out there sadly. We booked the whole chalet and went with 2 other families. Three of the rooms are very nicely furnished and clearly recently, two of them haven’t been redone recently but are perfectly functional and comfortable. The food was lovely and the hosts very responsive to a food allergies in our party. The coffee from the bean to cup coffee machine was lovely! There is a nice lounge downstairs with an honesty bar. You need to drive or get the bus to the slopes and the other ski areas so we hired a car. The local hill at Radstadt is only a small ski area but thoroughly enjoyable and all the children enjoyed their ski lessons there. The drive to other ski areas was easy and had no problem parking at any of them (parking is all free) despite being half term and arriving at the other ski areas AFTER settling children into ski school for 10am in Radstadt. The areas all seem to have plenty of lovely red runs which we enjoyed exploring. Our last day there the weather turned so we took the opportunity to hit the 6km toboggan run at Radstadt and go to the swimming pool (more of a water park TBH) at the nearby town or Alternmarkt. The hosts were really helpful in giving guidance as to where to go, help in booking stuff in advance etc and so welcoming. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel for a skiing holiday
Reviewed By DanielF951Have stayed in Radstadt a few times and always liked the look of this hotel. Stayed here for a week and we were not disappointed. Paid for half board and ate like kings. At breakfast you get a good choice of foods. You also choose your main course for the evening meal. Dinner is salad, appetiser, soup, main course - meat, fish or vegetarian, and desert. If you skiing, there is a boot room for your boots and skis. The Radstadt ski lift is in walking distance and you can ski from there to Altenmarkt. After skiing we really enjoyed going downstairs to the pool and spa area. Two saunas, steam room, pool and jacuzzi helped us relax and stopped us getting stiff legs from the skiing. All in all a lovely hotel.

Reviewed By Daryl ENice clean friendly family hotel . All the staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome as if nothing was to much trouble . We stayed half board and for us as a family of 3 with our 8 year old son was perfect and food was great . A big thank you to all at hotel post
