Very nice and clean hotel close to the beuatiful and clean beaches
Reviewed By ul2013Anna and her great team made us enjoy a wonderful week in Palekastro. The hotel is meticulously clean and staffers are very friendly. The Beach close by is beautiful and the waters are still crystal clear. Even though we had a week with very unfavourable weather conditions it was always fun.

Great and peaceful location

It's very quiet, peaceful and in the middle of nature but at the same time close to some beautiful beaches. The view from the balcony of our room was great, too. The room was spacious enough and always spotlessly clean. Cleaning staff was very friendly. I particularly loved the swimming pool. As other people have mentioned before, there are no deckchairs, but little tables and chairs where one can sit down to read a book. Or otherwise it's always possible to just lie down on your beach towel and soak up the sun's rays. :-) Breakfast was rather basic but good and fresh produce and well-organised. The staff (particularly at the reception) was very helpful and friendly. We got some great restaurant tips for dinner in the village nearby. All in all we had a great stay and would come back any time. Thank you so much everyone!

Clean, well equipped, air-conditioned apartment
Reviewed By MistyopticWe have just come to the end of a two week stay in these delightful apartments. We were welcomed by Kostas and his team with offers of tea/coffee. The room had a bottle of water in the fridge and cakes for us. A well equipped kitchenette helps when you’re planning to do some self catering and this one fits that description, even a cooker hood to extract the steam and smells of cooking. Only thing lacking was a toaster. The shower room was clean and modern with, again, extractor fan to remove the steam. This was a blessing as it was very hot while we were here. The air conditioning was most welcome. The room was cleaned/serviced daily with fresh linen and towels at frequent intervals. On a couple of days when we chose to stay around the apartment we sat in the shady courtyard and were given ice cream or fruit while we rested there. I would thoroughly recommend Flamingo Apartments and when we come again it will be our first choice

Reviewed By Paweł KThis hotel is located in a center of small village Palekastro. The location is very nice and staff is helpful. Hotel is old and outfit should have been refreshed at least 10 years ago. It is clean, it is cheap and it is a good option for a windsurfer - but not a family to stay there. You can here a lot from other rooms and due to the fact that it is in a centre - you can here a night life too.

Very good place
Reviewed By Monica NWe spent five nights in Margot House. The room was big, air conditioning is provided but air is coming from both sides, maintaining the room constantly aired. It is also very clean and towels are changed every two days. Also the staff comes every day to empty the baskets. Shower is huge. Fridge is big and also has a great freezer with ice pad and a small but resourceful kitchen (plates, glasses, kettle) kit provided. Staff is very friendly and takes care of all needs. Very good value for money. Location is perfect as it is at one very quiet side of Paleocastro: this allows to enjoy the village without having to bear the traffic and the noise. It is also perfect if you want to visit Vai beach and all the others on that coastline.. We definitely recommend it.

Reviewed By KarenF027Can't recommend this enough, lovely spacious clean rooms, beautiful unspoilt part of Crete, the owners Theo & his wife are a lovely couple, always on hand to help, lovely clean quiet beaches & great windsurfing at Gone Surfing at the end end of the beach. Will definitely be going back. :-)
