Ok hotel but do not recommend the restaurant
Reviewed By wmc680Good and clean hotel at nice location with excellent view of the lake. Excellent service during reservation and during check in. What is holding me from a higher rating is the speed of service and quality of food in the restaurant. We just waited to long on our food and quality of the dishes we ordered was from ok to poor. If you have a car it is a good hotel to stay but drive to the center where you have some nice restaurants.

Badly behaved children throwing up the restaurant
Reviewed By Betty NTo all outward appearances this is a lovely place - but the rubbish bin in our room contained the remains of the previous guest food parcel and we were over charged for drinks. To completely spoil our visit we were sat very close to a family with three badly behaved children (even though we were assured that we would be seated on the far side of the restaurant) and were completely put of our so called gourmet meal by one of the children throwing up on the dining table. The indifference of the staff to our discomfort was breathtaking. The food is very overpriced - our €20 starter were three dear pieces of fish (approx 2cm square with three blobs of green)

What a dream Hotel
Reviewed By eurobob12Our friends suggested we stop over at Cap Au Vert on our drive back to Hook of Holland. The telephone call to make our reservation was handled with care and duly booked for that night. Its position is in the country side and care was needed to find it. Now the delightful surprises revealed themselves walking into the entrance lobby. We were astounded by the aura of this place, the quiet efficient way we were met by the owners. The stunning "Garden of Eden", our large slightly quirky room. Clean, fresh, large comfortable bed. Bathroom with tub. The whole place cannot be simply described. You need to visit, and eat the beautifully prepared food, on stunning porcelain, how this total concept was envisaged and bought to reality is humbling. We are in total awe of our hosts. As you read this and other reviews it will seem impossible that such a place exists. It does. A stay and dine is an absolute must and in fact all hotel operators and employers should use this as the pinnacle of excellence. Only by staying will you the reader of this review, be able to understand what an exception hotel and stay this is. It will always be one of our special places in the world.

Reviewed By Nancy WDe passage pour des visites familiales, nous avons logé 1 nuit avec nos 2 petits chiens. L'hôtel est très propre et remis à neuf. L'agencement de la chambre est bien fait. La cuisine commune proposée avait l'air très spacieuse et bien organisée. Nous n'avons pas passé une bonne nuit, car une personne s'est mise à faire un BBQ à 2h du matin. Les lampes de détection de mouvements se sont allumées et éteintes pendant 1 heure durant la nuit! Les draps et oreillers sont de récupération (trop petits pour la couette et oreillers médiocres). L'accueil du patron a été très sympathique. Cela reste un B&B, pas un hôtel. C'est juste fonctionnel.
