Our hotel is situated in Mittersill, the heart of the national parc Hohe Tauern, near Kitzbühel. We provide a 1.500 m² spa area, featuring a fully equipped gym, tennis and squash courts as well as a pool with 25 m lanes, a hot tub and sauna area. For children we also providee a petting zoo with rabbits, goats and ponies with pony riding , as well as child care and a children’s programme. The cable car for the Pass Thurn ski area is only a 5-minute drive from Sporthotel Kogler. The Golfclub Mittersil-Stuhlfelden is 550 metres away.

It’s pretty difficult to go out for dinner with two little kids every evening, so this was perfect for us. A very important attraction that we really considered was also the huge pool. And yes, it is huge, like in the pictures, and like the other comments say: totally worth it. Such a great entertainment for our kids every afternoon. Our room was on the last floor. Actually it was a really huge flat with 3 rooms (6 beds - 2 double and two single). Advantage: a lot of space for our things. Disadvantage: pretty cold and difficult to heat up. After first night we asked from reception for an electric heater, and we got one. It was ok for the rest of the nights. Large playing room for children with lots of toys. Food: plenty of it and really various. Nice bar with fireplace for relaxing and having a drink after dinner. Can get loud and crowded sometimes. I recommend it especially if maybe you can get a discount for kids. We paid nothing for both our kids but now I just checked and I see that their policy has changed, extra charges for both kids if I want to book again. Boo!

Reviewed By dan5124This b&b is in a great location in the center of town close to restaurants and close to many different recreational activities. From this location we visited Salzburg as a daytrip, the Krimml Waterfall and took a chairlift to a beautiful hiking location. In addition we did the Grossglockner pass enroute from this location to our next. The hosts are gracious and offer help and ideas without being intrusive. They gave us a Sommer Pass that saved us quite a bit of money. Communication before hand was excellent. The included breakfast layout was filling. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the rooms could use a bit of updating and there were no amenities such as shampoo or lotion, which is helpful when you travel. All in all we found this place very comfortable and would not hesitate to book there again.

Reviewed By Tero LRoom was nice and clean with beautiful view from balcony. Breakfast was simple but quite ok. They had name tags in breakfast tables where you suppose to seat but they got mine name wrong which cause little bit confusion. Service was quite slow but friendly. With price I paid was happy with hotel.

Reviewed By elenaresamaDO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The hotel owner shouted at us, the waitress called my husband „a girl“, the receptionist added extra services without asking us. Me, my husband and 2 our friends stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. From the way the confirmation email is written we all understood that a half-Board included in the price. When we were checking in, we mentioned to the receptionist about it. As we found out later upon check out, instead of telling us that we only have breakfast included, she just added dinner to our stay whiteout even telling us its price. Of course it was an unpleasant surprise for us upon check out as we had to pay extra for dinners that were even not good (very fat, salty, and cocked from leave-behinds from the day before). We tried to discuss the situation with the receptionist in order to find a win-win for us and the hotel. At this moment the hotel owner came to us and started shouting that we’re stupid as we understood the email wrongly and that we are not allowed to “waste” the time of the receptionist. I should mention that we have a pregnant friend with us, however it didn’t stoped the lady from shouting at her. After 10 mins of this horror we gave up. But it was very unpleasant. Apparently it’s a norm at this hotel to behave like that with the guests, as the waitress requested my husband to finish a “home-made” desert when she was cleaning plates. My husband refused because the desert was very fat and not good. She looked at him and called him “a girl”. In summary, the hotel is way too expensive for its quality

Reviewed By maiersmThis is one of the spectacular old family run hotels in central Austria. The hotel "owns" the fishing rights to a number of streams and lakes in the Mittersill area. Recently renovated the hotel has three dining areas including an outside area with retractable awnings. We were with a group of 30 people on a half board plan. The service and food was excellent.

And everything is wonderful! On my birthday, Schloss was surprised me at breakfast time with prosecco and a delicious cake. They were also preparing a special table and decorating it with beautiful flowers. I felt so so special at that moment! We stayed for two nights at Gina Lollobrigea Suite, one of the 10 Suites at Schloss. The suite is so amazing, the view from the balcony also spectacular. We had a big terrace and we can enjoy our afternoon time in that place. The bathroom room is also beautiful, I love it so much. The dinner was exceptional and the service great. We have enjoyed it so much! Nothing to complain about it! Another interesting thing about Schloss Mittersill is the hidden places around the Schloss! It's like a secret adventure! Don't forget to take their tour in which they explain the history of the castle. The last that you must do is when you have a holiday here in the wintertime. Try their heated pool! That's so amazing! You can enjoy warm water but feel the cold temperature on your face. Super fantastic place! Amazing & large room, beautiful view, friendly service, delicious dinner & breakfast, enjoyable spa & pool - what else can you dream of? Would be happy to return someday!

Reviewed By Bobo2050Relax, smell the fresh grass and farm. Enjoy the natural shaped pool and great nudist spa :) The food and the house wine is delicious and the staff is great. Don't miss the breakfast too. The staff is wonderful, they are all helpful and kind.

The owners couple was very kind and professional, its morning fresh roll/bread service to the entrance of our apartmen was comfortable, we very much loved it. We will return with our family to this place for one of our next holiday!

Nice guesthouse near Mittersill
Reviewed By FTSTampaFLThis is an attractive property about 3 miles south of town, so you need a car. The room was clear and comfortable. Rooms face the road, but it was not too noisy. The hallways smell like smoke, but not the room. The downstairs restaurant was adequate for dinner, and very smoky, as locals use it as a bar sometimes. Good free parking. See the gnarly gnome in the front yard eating the children!
