Great Location But Pedantic on Rules
Reviewed By PeteAKLWe choose Piya for its great location -central and views of the lake - and everything else came secondary to that. The place is dated but I don't mind if the basic creature comforts are covered. AC capacity was a bit small for the size of room so it took a while to cool down. Owner operated so they are always around and have an eye on you which can be a good thing but not if you prefer staff to be not seen nor heard until required. If you like resorts with pool bars to both dip and sip your piña colada then their pool won't fit your needs. Pool rules are posted everywhere and this pedantic aspect can be off-putting for those who are on holiday to relax and have common sense to know how to behave without having to be told.

Reviewed By 169catgWe really liked our one night stay at Boondee House, having booked last minute with a change of plans, we were so happy to have chosen this place. Great amenities, everything you could possibly need; lots of parking near the rooms, water, big fridge, fresh towels, hot shower, TV, hairdryer, lots of plugs, kettle. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Nice communal area with more facilities and small kitchen area. The whole place was very cute and the owner was so helpful and welcoming. Thank you Boondee House! We'd stay here again over any other resort or guesthouse in Mae Hong Son.

Reviewed By AlistitleLike everyone said, hotel offer good location, good price, but dated. It is a middle size hotel. There is a restaurant inside, gym (dated) and swimming pool is available. If you don’t want to stay in a national park, or homestay, this might be a choice.

Reviewed By Daniel GCalled B2 Premium, but in fact only very basical. Very small shower cabin. NO warm water in the lavabo, NO breakfast, NO chair to sit and rest in the balcony, NO good English speaking staff.... And a cockroach in our room !...

The family-run Panorama Hotel is located in the center of Mae Hong Son, close to the main town intersection. The great location makes it easy to explore all the sights and attractions of this quaint and dreamy town. In fact, Wat (temple) Hua Wiang is directly behind the hotel and can be accessed through the back entrance. Panorama is very close to the traditional market, walking street, and Jong Kham lake/park. Its only 1 km to the airport, and 1.5 Km to the bus station. Parking space is available for those arriving on motorbikes or in cars. You can easily get on or off the Chiangmai-Pai-Maehongson mini van in front of the hotel.

Reviewed By jonathan mWe stayed for one night, we thought for the price the was terrible it had a very musty smell and the shower was in a real mess, if we hadn't arrived late after a long journey we would have found other accommodation, the old lady behind the counter seemed indifferent to our complaints and refused any discount, I guess she's saving for another facelift!! Anyway the next morning after talking to a member of staff we learned that if people only stay for one night the sheets are not changed, the bed is just remade, we were also told that all water for the showers is pumped cheaply from an underground river, I think this explains the bad smell and the oily water! Would never stay in this hovel again

Worst hotel ever! No hot water

They only offer hot water for a short period of time, and you have to wait for 1.5 hours for it to arrive in your room… Room was dirty, damp, and full of ants in the bathroom. Staff was terrible, said she would call me back to help resolve my issues, but never did! The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
